Yeah, the downstairs one if off now and windows are open upstairs. I just came in from outside and it feels pretty good.

I tend to not use ac much at home-lucky if its on 5-10 days per summer

so far, I have avoided all use of the AC, even in the car. but it is there should I need it. I don't have them in the windows yet, but that only takes a few minutes.

I was hoping to go the whole summer without installing the first floor-but figured I better make sure it works before I really need it. Its at least 15 years old.

I like the windows open at night. My bedroom unit stays on the floor and goes in only if we have had high heat and high humidity for more than 3-4 days straight-which is not very often-and then comes out for fresh air and cross breeze.

So I paid for 3 tons of pellets the otherday in full on layaway so I could pick them up at my convience. Decided to go get one today no problem. After I unloaded them I felt spunky and decide to go get another one. On the way over I got thinking that I would just buy one and leave the other 2 on layaway.

Me: I just want to buy a ton of pellets and leave my other two on layaway.
    Girl: You cant do that.
    Me: Why
Girl: They would cost you more.
Me getting a little irate: But I could put another ton on layaway and take them out of layaway right away?
Girl that is totally out of her league: Yea, I think so.
Me going for the kill: Doesn't really make sense does it to do all the extra paper work for a layaway versus a sale?
Girl still not getting it: Did you want to put them on layaway then and do it that way?
Me: No I will just buy them with the bulk discount and early buy price like it says on your flyer which does not say I have to put them on layaway.
Girl: Let me get a manager.
    :headbang:
Manager came over a rang me up a ton and I was on my way. I feel sorry for him.

We were at Lowes on Saturday and to my surprise there was at least 50 pallets of pellets in lawn/garden area. Of course I had to check them out but my other half wanted nothing to do with them right now  -she went on to find summer landscaping stuff.

No prices to be found and 3 brands-Geneva, Inferno and Greene Team-no real interest in these brands. Had they been Corinth or the non existent in 5 years around here Somersets , I would have been backing up the truck

No A/C for us yet either. The breeze off the lake has kept things comfy. Just need to use window fans. Even the kitties like them.

    Molly sure does anyway!

Remember you are older this year than last and those window units really are a two person operation.

Easy fix---free feed dry food and if you want to give her wet food for a treat, make that in the evenings. Solved that problem at my house many moons ago.

Yes indeed. Any lifting is done by my son and his wife. If I were to attempt anything I would get a lecture. My getting hurt only makes it worse for everyone so I just stay out of the way.
I bought a roll around unit, but they put away the tube that goes into the window. I think it is up in the garage but that is hard to get to now. I can't carry anything and walk esp. on stairs. Last time I tried that I feel down the stairs and landed on the cement floor. Not a pretty picture. My hip ached for a couple months. Update, kids were here and found the stuff, and are installing the units.
