yea, hopefully it works. On the rare occasion (thank God!) that our truck damages something, if its below the deductible, or even a bit above, its just easier to come to an agreement with the homeowner than call the insurance company, as those calls increase our premiums from a risk standpoint. Always better to tell the homeowner than ignore it. Those trucks aren't so large that the driver didn't feel the hit.
Hope you can get it straightened out easily. My recommendation would be to get the monte to a good body shop that you trust and get an estimate or two...have that in hand, maybe FedEx can "make it go away" with a check directly to you. The only thing wrong with this is some folks aren't trustworthy, they cash the check, and STILL aren't satisfied....

Well, spoke to the supervisor at the local Fedex hub today. Their Risk-Management dept has to handle this, according to her. I'm supposed to get a call from them sometime soon. I already stopped at the local body shop and have an appt. to get the estimate on Monday.

I also looked up the cover that was damaged.....that'll cost them $200 or more.

The driver must have known he/she hit something. Just not right to just drive off. I wonder if the driver has a history of this.

yea, who knows? You'll never get FedEx to admit a driver has a history of hitting stuff, but geez, you get to a guy's home, see a car under wraps in the driveway (so you KNOW its something he values!), and you back up into it?! Their trucks aren't large......he knew.....kinda a "tool" type of move not to leave a note!

Sitting here at our campsite drinking coffee, watching the wife make breakfast. I predict beer in my future...

That's a fancy campsite! looks like you are one of those seasonal campers. Any water near? Very neat looking. Best part of that place is not having to set up and tear down every time you want to use it. I have a camper but haven't used it for a couple years for that very reason. I'm am more out in the woods living at home. Going camping is a social event with neighbors 20 ft away in each direction.

Well Larry looks like things might be ready before school starts.

I got my determination letter from SSA today, there goes smoke's retirement. Can't let uncle keep what I've paid in. I don't sense a beer in my future today, more likely a spiked lemonade. Keep working smoke ole buddy.

Don't blame me for that, as that is cousin Ralph. He always was a bit ornery when folks trespassed on his property.

Ya, we only want it for a few years. Then he can get someone else's. That is unless it already has been given away to someone who never paid into it. :headbang:
