Larry I'm glad that is your mess and not mine. I had my fill of that game years ago.

a few weeks ago, there was a study, family room, bedroom, half bath and a workshop all in place. Now it looks like a bomb went off! I hate to tell you want it cost for the trips to the landfill. I'm thankful my son is overseeing the project. He'll be doing most of the reconstruction. I have a master electrician, and a plumber working also. Everything is being done to code. I hate surprises. I got my share when the plumber did his part. Well, now this and now that and while we have access etc. $$$$$$$$ I don't think there was anything being done but what needed to be. I am much more comfortable knowing that all that old plumbing is gone. Everything is new, energy smart and proper.

I went to VA yesterday to be seen by orthopedics. I wanted to see if there were any new options for me. I was told my arthritis is severe and there is little that any injection will do for more than a few days. I have an off loading brace to wear, my cane and my walker. No anti inflammatory meds because of my kidneys. Only option is a knee replacement, but my BMI is too high. Still have a long road ahead for wt loss. Hard to exercise when I can hardly move. Do go to the Y and use their pool.
I have to tell you that I have been getting good care at our VA here in Maine.

Hang in there Larry! It's always ugly til the very end when paint and flooring gets done:)

We paid soooooo much to have the electric gutted, I am still pleased we did it, all up to code and fire dangers eliminated !

And all the this and that coming up? I would think it would cost alot more to dig into walls/sheetrock, floors later when it did malfunction.......Good you are correcting it now before the walls, sheetrock and flooring goes down.

Thank god, got back home last night. We left the box truck in Texas at our sister company and they flew us back home. Got the the airport at 6:00 am yesterday only to learn our scheduled flight into Charlotte got cancelled. Needless to say a lot of expletives came out of my mouth. Unfortunately, I'm back in work today..........thumbs down............

:BrianK:After a long week, hot and humid, we took my son's family out to dinner. Nothing fancy, just Applebee's. I don't know what got into me, but I ordered a beer to go with my hot pull pork sandwich. My son also ordered one. My goodness was that good! now I normally never have any ETOH, usually because on the meds I am on. Didn't seem t0o mess anything up that I could tell and sure did help with the flavor of the meal.

Just don't make a habit of it, some of those meds act strange with the juice mixed in.

Well Thursday I tilled the last of the raised beds, we have a few things left to plant. The boss had to get some more brussels sprouts seedlings as the whisle pig got the first ones before I laced the garden area with repells all and sent some lead after it. Got part of the lawn mowed as well, I think I'll wait a week or so before finishing the rest. We got a bit of rain but not really enough.

Hope to get the rest of the garden in my part in what remains is to mix up some soil to top off the copmpost bins for the squash.

Got 5 tons of pellets delivered. Moved them into garage with pallet jack for later transport to the walk out basement. The place I bought them from only has a little tilting trailer that holds 1 ton, so he had to make 5 trips. He's looking at other arrangements involving a flatbed truck.

Well, after 5 weeks of waiting, the shed finally arrived at the dealer .....delivery is set for Monday morning. Once I get electric run to it, and install some "attic" storage, I can get all my stuff outta the storage place......be nice to have it back at home, especially when Christmas rolls around.......all the Christmas stuff was inadvertently put in the back of the storage unit when I moved last summer :headbang:......last Christmas was barren.

Other pic is the item 4 "pad" it will set on, plus part of the small driveway leading up to it that will get paved once the shed is installed.:rootintootin:
