At the last house, between the vultures and the bobcat, most things didn't last more than a day or two.

Fire.jpg My daughter's SO is a master electrician and volunteer for the fire dept. He came here to help, but just as he sat down, a fire call came in. In a matter of what seemed like seconds, a barn fire went o a three alarm fire. The barn quickly burned flat and the fire spread to the surrounding fields and woods. Now it is a three alarm fire. My daughter went with him and sent this pic. back. The wind is fairly strong now.

Ya, that was too much. I didn't want that one but youtube was bouncing from one to the next. The sports version is more popular than you might care to imagine. Those guys at the New Years Eve thing in NY wear them because once they get to a place there is no going back for a long while. Anyway, it is funny. When you gotta go, you gotta go!

Today was a top 10 weather day here. Top 5 in fact. Perfectly blue sky, no clouds at all. Very brisk this morning and slowly warmed up to about 67 degrees which would be my perfect temp inside or out, year round. Very low humidity, perfect for doing any kind of outdoor activities! Went into the basement and looked at the dehumidifier, set for 60 and the room humidity was 45. Only complaint so far this spring is the mosquitos. They are worse than ever this year and it doesn't matter what the temps or weather is. On the back deck now enjoying a few frostys as the sun descends. Wish every day could be like this one.

The under brush is dry. Also, we have an abundance of evergreens that burn like the are made of gasoline. There is still a thick thach on the ground even though it looks green.

Hired my handyman and his helper to come by this morning. They took our old sofa & loveseat, and other things that remained here from the previous owner and other duplicates we had from combining our previous home with the camp. They moved some heavy things for DH, he throws his back out like other old farts........ Couple hundred dollars later, I now have enough space to work through boxes... Then I can park my excellent truck inside next winter:)

Excited, couple good things went to dump but too hard for me to get to donation places.
