We have a lot of names for them and really favor dead in front of each one. Never seem to run out of them, but that is alright as I have plenty of ammo for target practice. I was on a roll one year and cleaned one out from stem to stern with a load of tripple ought from a full choke straight pipe. He thought he was safe looking out of his entrance. Not so.

Just rubbed and wrapped a 9 lb pork shoulder for smoking tomorrow. I LOVE the occasional midweek day off. There's too stuff happening on the weekends, and the time off flies past.

Looks like I'm gonna have to fire up the stove again if the sun doesn't come out. It's been off since the very beginning of the month, but today's not looking good. House is currently at 66 degrees. We're at 43 degrees outside with a 10 mph north wind. High is only 55, and this lows in the low 40's tonight. I've only been burning 4 years, but this is easily the latest in the season I've burned.

Cool out, but the sun is out and it isn't windy. Looking good for the extended forecast. We haven't had the stove going for a couple weeks now. I know that wouldn't be true if we were downstairs. It is cooler there.
Looks like we burned 6 tons for the past season. Loved it. The stove kept us warm and gave a calming view. Now we need to get some wood together for the outside fire pit.
