Been an interesting past couple of days. My PCP is on vacation this week so saw a different doc for my follow up on Wed. She goes over all my info and says " I can't believe no one has ordered a full panel of labs yet. We need to test you for everything. That should have been done when they admitted you last week.". So fortunately there is a lab downstairs from her office so I got 8 vials of blood drawn. Results next week.

Then when I saw my cardiologist on Thurs he tells me from the echo, ECG and stress test he can safely say there is nothing wrong with my heart or the pacemaker. Then he says something no doc has told me since I went into the ER last week- " your heart is reacting with a fast rate and your BP is wonky because your heart is reacting to something wrong going on in your body, an infection or disease". He couldn't believe they had sent me home last week and told me nothing.

Should have results from the endoscopy and colonoscopy I had yesterday next week. Hoping for no cancer.

Sounds like maybe you finally hit some docs that will help you make progress in figuring the issue out. Fingers crossed for good news from the endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Got my lab results this morning. Everything normal/negative except for 1 inflammation marker that is high. Doc said she messaged cardiology and gastro teams to see if there are any other tests they might want to run.

Now to wait for endoscopy & colonoscopy results.

Turned the P43 back on yesterday. With temps in the 40's and 50's, with dark skies and wind, the house cooled off from mid 70's Sunday afternoon to mid 60's. Supposed to be cool, dark weather all week.

Still waiting for results from endoscopy & colonoscopy. Gastro doc believes it's severe gastritis but won't know for sure until we get the results.

Been on omeprazole (protein pump inhibitor)40mg 2x a day and famotodine (histimine inhibitor) 40mg at night, to reduce stomach acid. Has helped a little but can take 3-4 months to heal stomach lining.

Still get very little sleep, am extremely fatigued, appetite very slowly improving but have to force myself to eat sometimes.

Gastritis is a funny term because A) it makes it sound like it is just a regular case of gas, and B) because it is used for anything that they can't find the cause of where the intestines get irritated and/or inflamed. I've been in the hospital twice for "gastritis" with pain so bad I couldn't sit and the second time I couldn't even get water to stay down - actually it wasn't getting past my throat. But I certainly didn't have gas because I was completely empty.

CAT scan showed severe inflammation of everything from my throat down to my ahole. Before the scans, they thought I was faking for pain meds (which I didn't ask for and they didn't offer) because all my other medical markers were fine - BP, heart rate, temp etc. After the scans they offered pain meds and the were incredulous that I turned them down (how the heck am I supposed to drive myself home if I'm high - and I certainly wasn't staying there if they couldn't figure out what the cause of the issue was). Actually the first time they thought it was Crohn's disease, but that came back negative. The second time they took an EKG just to be sure and that was fine. They just gave me a couple of bags of fluids, some meds that got me thru the events and threw up their hands (I'm not sure what else they could do - so really not knocking that).

My belief is that the first time was my first huge symptom of becoming allergic to coconut (I'd had other, smaller signs previously, but didn't put them together). The second time I'm pretty sure I digested something that didn't declare coconut oil. All their other items showed that ingredient - that one didn't - I should have bypassed it to start with.

Anyway, enough about me, I hope the meds give you relief and eventually cure you!

I have a CAT scan with contrast scheduled for Fri morning.
I know my gastro doc had said "you don't have an h.pylori bacterial infection cause you don't have diarrhea". Except reading some forums a lot of people don't have diarrhea with h.pylori. So hoping they did a biopsy during the endoscopy to officially determine one way or the other.

I can't believe I've fired up the stove again, but it is true. It's raw and wet, and arthritis is screaming at me. It seems like most Memorial Day weekends are wet. Our eldest daughter and her husband took over the chore of decorating the cemetery for me. I had done the decorating for close to 60 years, but I am no longer able to do that. She sent me a picture, and it was done just the way I would have done it.

Stove's been on more the last few days than it was beginning of May. I think we use 2 bags the first week and nada until last Thursday. Burned almost 6 bags since.

Starting the garden today and also a pollinators plot out in the field. Looking to make a section for the bees/butterflies. Plus a wildflower patch of natives. Looks like we will plant some milkweed and esters. Then go looking to see what we can find for the native section. We said we were going to do it last year, But never got to it. This year is a must!!

    Summer is creeping closer now.
We have had a spot fire off and on.
Yesterday we shut down by 9 am
No fire last night at all.
65 F in the house this morning....Suppose to make 80 F this afternoon....No sense in wasting the cool temps by building a fire....
It will be in the 70's F in the house later.

Looking like stove season is just about done......

Had my CT scan this morning. Just spoke with gastro doctor. Have a kidney stone and some gall stones which may be causing my pain and possibly the source of the high inflammation marker in my labs. Being referred to urologist. Also some constipation.

She also had the results of my endoscopy. Shows gastritis. Biopsy was negative for h.pylori. So continuing with the acid blockers, bland diet and now have to use a laxative on days where I haven't pooped.

Waiting for biopsy results on a colon polyp.

Just got off phone with urologist. Seeing him tomorrow afternoon. Was told it's a large stone in one kidney and could possibly block some fluid flowing. Guessing that they will want to blast it into little pieces ASAP.

Definitely my year for doctors but thankfully I seem to be getting appointments way faster than I expected.

My other half had a kidney stone that was over 1/2" and it tried to pass....NO WAY.
A late night trip to the VA hospital for this one.
The placed a stent to relieve the urine backup.....About two weeks with the stent and then they blasted the stone into dust.
Latest Ultrasound does not show any new stones.
Kidney stones are definitely NO FUN...

Hope all goes well for you......

Saw urologist this afternoon. Stone is stuck in tube coming out of right kidney. Plan is for a surgical procedure where they feed a telescoping laser up the urethra thru the bladder and up to the stone where they blast it into dust and suck the particles out. Doc said may have to do it twice due to size of stone. Surgical scheduler contacting me next week to set it up. Fortunately I will be under anesthesia.

Sorta like Sam I hate stuff that involves bladders. Folks are to quick in judging sometimes. Things get done that takes months to correct and some nasty Meds

That is what my other half had done.
    It was quick and simple.

After a short recovery room stay we went home and had breakfast and went on about daily routines....

Weather has been cool at night and mid 50's-60's past week. Gonna get some heat next few days, not looking forward to over 80. Supposed to get a massive light show tonight. Hopefully the clouds stay away and I can stay up late enough to view.

House build is suppose to start next week. Currently living like hobbits with a few amenities. 2 weeks in and you really don't need that much to survive and get by.
