5pm last night igniter decides to quit on the stove, replaced igniter and gave the stove a good cleaning while it was shutdown and the side panels off, back up and running at 6:30.

Same up here. Amount forecast keeps rising. Started as a miss/dusting but now is 6-8 which usually means 10 in my area.

They're forecasting 6-10" for SE NH. Snowblower tested and ready, generator tested and ready, hopefully that means the storm will fizzle out.
Super cold nights forecast for Mon-Wed, down around zero. Gave the P43 a cleaning, brought in some douglas fir pellets.

Interesting visit with cardiologists this past week. They get daily data from my pacemaker via the remote monitor setup. They told me data is showing a couple times a week for like 4-8 seconds I'm having AFib "events". Nothing wrong with my heart valves, it's a side effect of having a pacemaker. They think the constant monitoring and pulsing trigger the AFib events. They're only mildly concerned but said if they increase I would have to go on some meds, as the possibility of throwing blood clots increases.

We were running Munchie and the Quadrafire 1000 in the Apartment on our lower level was trying to run and smoked and then shut down.

This raised a big red flag.
I woke up my tenant and asked her if the stove was working OK ???

She let me in and I checked the fire pot .....
Entire lower section of the pot was laying in the air inlet plenum under the pot.

    OH !@#$%^& Arrrrrrrgh

I ran upstairs and ripped the the pot out of our Quad 1000 (We use it very little)

Cleaned up the downstairs stove and stuffed in the good pot....*****This Pot swap had been done many years ago as this failure has happened before*****

When this stove was new it had the ceramic style burn pot.....It failed and the company gave us the new style cast iron pot.

This is the third burn pot since the stove was new in 1994.....
This stove heats the 1000 sq ft apartment...../Was mom and dads place.....Now we rent the place out.

I think we got all the goody out of that burn pot eh ??????

I will order a fresh one for our Quad upstairs...../Weather has not been bad at all this winter so far.

We rarely use the Quad....Except in power outages....It runs good on the Genny

We got 5". Light, fluffy but a layer of frozen stuff at the bottom. Took a while to get the cars cleared. 21 degrees out, think that's the high for the day. That wind ain't helping either.

Wind is kicking up here too. I pushed it with the tractor instead of blowing. Temp dropped quick once the wind started. 16ºF up here on the hill.

Fortunately my flights home today don't go thru Texas - they announced yesterday that several airports in that state would be shut down today. Denver and Chicago are prepared for the deep chill and weather received, Texax, not so much.

I've been away from Home since Last Friday morning. before that, I was away for 5 days over Christmas. My pet sitter is taking care of animals and feeding the stoves (I had her turn off the mini split last night).

I have 3 of my battery stations set up as backups in case of power outage; two stations are set up for my pellet stoves, and one for my computer, router and wifi. I can monitor my battery stations thru the wifi and tell if the stoves are running, and about where in the cycle they are by watts being drawn.Comforting to know that the stoves are doing their thing on a cold morning like this.

Will be in negative digits when I get home late tonight.
