    Yeah

The Rona got in here back in Early January.
The worst was over fairly quick....
The on off fever and aches were an annoyance more than a real bother.
Then the smell/taste went away totally.
Even when the cat dropped a bomb in her box was a zero register.
    My coffee was dead too..

The taste/smell came back in about 2 weeks...but some stuff still tasted funny.

    Then my gut started hurting.
I use Prilosec for Reflux (Have for many decades)
The pill would not touch the burns.

Took nearly a month to finally get the gut running at what seems normal.

    This crud is nasty......

Pretty well back to status quo now.....

    Ready for round 3 now.

    Arrrrrrgh

Weather is warming up a bit.

Finally got the tractor/mower on the grass....Stuff is 3 feet high and wet....The big rotary mow deck will hack it.....Still a mess.

A few more dry days and we should be able to get the worst of it around the house knocked down.....

Shut the stove off at 10 am.
    Still off. House about 70F

    Be in low 40's to high 30's F tonight.....then maybe 70 F tomorrow.

Likely have small fire in the morning..

Interestingly, I received an email flyer for the local Agway for their pre-season sale pellet prices. $295/ton for NEWPS (I assume - that is what they usually carry). That is at, or only $5 more per ton than the last couple of years. They also throw in free delivery if you get over 3 tons. No, that isn't a great price for NEWPS, especially considering I am something like 17 miles from their Jaffrey, NH plant, but the price hasn't shot up yet.

Robbins Garden Center and Stove Shop, (Oxford Ma.) sent a flyer. Only one brand under $300/ton, Blackstone. Matras are 330/ton, New England $300. Delivery charge was about $50 last year.

I had it early on in September of ‘20. At that point, no treatments, no vaccine. Wasn’t fun at all. My taste and smell is at best, 75%. Took months for the “brain fog” to go away….my adult children and spouses have all had it. This thing is here to stay…we need to learn to live with it and not let it take over our lives.

I'm really sorry, so glad you recovered and bummer on taste! My favorite treat when I go to town is a large iced tea, uggg, still tastes funky like rancid chemicals or rancid cooking grease or something  ( my daughter took a sip too, said it's good tea, so still all me). Most smells are the same result.

Well....The weather is better today....but it will go sour again soon
We got the AC all charged back up earlier today and the air coming out of the vents is a pleasant 53F .....Took about 1 pound of R22 to get the beast back up to par....

The central AC is 28 YO now.....I keep saying....Just one more season baby....one more season.
With everything costing into the ozones....gotta keep the old girl running.....

Worked on the little red tractor and made some minor repairs.....

Gonna sit down and tie on the nose bag now......Yum

Exactly. The vaccines work, I am proof of that as I didnt have more than cold like symptoms and worked every day from home for 5 days. Back at work tomorrow.

Taste was a little off on only a few things but nothing major and even that has come back around to 98% normal.

Hopefully all of this stays on the positive side for me..........................

I dont preach the vaccine-If you want it then by all means get it. If you dont, its your choice but IMO it works.

Hey better than a day without a post to this thread, what gives? Cat collecting tongues again? Oh well, let me start, had my annual Dr. appointment yesterday. Hey Larry my Met. prescription was changed to 25 MG once/day from 100MG twice daily and my Snake Venom analog from 20MG to 10MG and they now understand about white coat. At least Sean does. Wildwest I am over 550 photos scanned.

Today I got my new 20 port Nyger seed feeder I now have to wait until one of the kids comes by. I promised not to be stupid. I could hang it but that would be a stupid move on my part. Oh, I also changed out the old humming bird nectar for fresh.

Yes, been doing that here for a while. They are pretty consistent evening feeders......almost never see them during the day.

I see birds including hummers most of the day, I have four feeders just for them. I cut back on the suet when the outside is warm. I usaully hang two baskets at each spot and replace them with hummer feeders. I removed the six seed balls and four suet baskets in the forsythia bushes along the section of driveway between the upper and lower parking spots. I run a bird restruant.

Got my cab M9 back from the dealer this morning (via his rollback). I still need to have my new round baler delivered and the side by side needs to go to the dealer for 3 recalls. I presume they will deliver the baler and take the side by side in one trip. Diesel fuel is expensive, always good to consolidate trips if possible.

I'll still ne a technician to come out and instruct me on how to operate the new bailer, it's all computer driven.

This year's crop of chippies can't swim to good either.

I feed the birds year round here too. The hummers are here, but I fear they came too early. I can’t keep the feeders from freezing. I keep having to knock the snow off of the feeders too. Everything froze really hard last night. We also have a foot plus of snow on the ground. But the hummers were out zipping around when I let my dog out around 6 am today. Tough little buggers.

Me, I like squirrel stew but brown ones (no red ones around here), so never tried them.
