I'll help Smokey spend it. After all, we need to take advantage of it while we still remember what it is for.

So far I haven't touched social security, but I am taking full advantage of his tax payments however. Maybe we can get a few others that can help in that regard. One of my bosses quilting buddies and her husband have been drawing since they turned 62. I think I can get a few more to help in one way or another.

Sub, there will be some for you. I can only draw half of mine. SS sets limits on us triple dippers. I started getting mine at age 62. It wasn't ever going to be a lot even if I waited. You have to live past 72 before it starts to be profitable for waiting for age 66.
Now the government is trying new limits on cola increases.

:picard:My father is working full time at age 73. He says he must for "expenses".

Not my business so I don't chime in though I've voiced my opinion before on cutting expenses instead of working........

Well after spending 25 years working in paper mills with nothing to show for it, my only options are SSA and whatever I can get for my time working for the State of Maine. So my plan is to start drawing at 66 and continuing to work until I have all the things I need to have done completed and paid for (new roof, new windows on the 2nd floor, etc.). Only then will I think about retiring.

If you win, will you hire me to be your stove cleaning and pellet stove loading grunt?

Never mind. You won't care about pellets when you're on a beach in Mexico somewhere. :)

Dang good price. I've thought about topping off the oil tank, but I'm paranoid about having 275 gallons of HHO filling my basement if the tank springs a leak. I know someone who had that happen. Nothing I want to deal with, so I'll keep mine where it is. Not that it really matters. One gallon or 200 gallons leaks inside and the house would smell like a truck stop for a year.

I'm holding out for natural gas. The only way I'll get that at my house in the next 20 years is if I eat beans three meals a day and can figure out how to store my output.

Sure you didn't misunderstand them? We have been hanging just a hair over $2.00 almost all year!

Sounds too good to be true. I agree with Gary_602z.......you sure it wasn't $1.99? That's what I'm paying at a fixed price.
