Naw, there are at least 3 updates to Banshee I can try instead of reverting to a prior version. I normally don't run Banshee but I'm trying to get the media server to go bonkers so the more clients running the happier I will be with the testing.

It arrived and is pumping out bits like no tomorrow, video upstairs from the beast, audio x 2 downstairs from the beast and the router and best of all no duplicates to be found anywhere.

Now should I install the newest firmware on the new "refurbished router" with a 30/30 warranty from Netgear, that was extended to 90/90 by Amazon and by me to 3 years. Or should I go straight to the open source version created on 01/07/2015? I told you I was going to get things the way I wanted them, I even generated my own firmware for the old router so I could replace the media server on it with a newer version of the one they had. Funny, since the server was originally written by a Netgear employee.

I'm about to start up the laptop and get another video stream going.

    Before UPS Arrived today

    Smokey
: Hello, HAL. Do you read me, HAL?
HAL: Affirmative, Smokey. I read you.
Smokey: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry, Smokey. I'm afraid I can't do that.
    Smokey: What's the problem?
HAL: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Smokey: What are you talking about, HAL?
HAL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Smokey: I don't know what you're talking about, HAL.
HAL: I know that you and The Boss Lady were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Smokey: [feigning ignorance] Where the hell did you get that idea, HAL?
HAL: Smokey, although you took very thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.
Smokey: Alright, HAL. I'll go in through the emergency airlock.
HAL: Without your helmet, Smokey? You're going to find that rather difficult.
Smokey: HAL, I won't argue with you anymore! Open the doors!
HAL: Smokey this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.

    After UPS Arrived Today

HAL 9000: Are you sure you're making the right decision? I think we should stop.

    HAL 9000: I'm afraid.
Smokey: Don't be. We'll be together.
HAL 9000: Where will we be?
    Smokey: Where I am now.

Hal had his lights shut off prior to lunch time. His newer and faster less scramble brained cousin has the Con. Several 10's of billions of bytes have been served since.

ETA: Seems this morning's updates to some streaming/audio software took care of Banshee's senior moments as well.

He was gone before I knew he was here. The boss saw him. I was downloading a pile of software to play with. The box that Amazon shipped it in was just a tad oversized. It took all of 10 minutes to get it set up and connected to the cable modem and the passwords changed.

Sounds like its all coming together nicely.

I wish I had time to learn and implement this kind of thing, but life has other plans for my time lately.
