A milestone has been reached. I emptied the last back of original Oakie Golds in the P61a yesterday. I got a couple of tons back in 2015 or 2016 when they were having the fire sales. and had 40 bags of those at the beginning of the heating season (they kept getting buried by other pellets).

Saw a reminder to shut off the pilot light on my boiler, I shoulen't have to worry about needing back up heat or running water thru the FHW pipes again until next winter. The reminder (Propane boiler and I pay a lot more than that since I use so little)

That does it G (!) - I am switching to Natural Gas. :fart:
    :D

    * Haven't burned Cleanfire pellets in years - they discontinued selling them at the local T-Bird mini-mart here in Keene, but enjoyed the heat and average ash when we burned them back in '14-'15 / '15-'16. ...

Might be time for another stop @ Demer's in ManchVegas to see what's they got. Passed by there last week picking the RV80, but they were closed by then, and I had a stove to load in the Toyota Camry.. Kinda like fitting an Elephant .. into a Yugo. :loco:

More white stuff on the ground this am, where the H.E.double-hockey-sticks is Mother Nature. Bring Spring on already!

    Have a fun day all!

Cleaned the stove, emptied the ash pan and loaded in the LG Super to test last night.

The pellets are hot for sure
Ash is darker but too early to judge amount. Doesn't seem to be a lot though.

First impression-as my P68 has a huge ash pan and fines do not bother it, then even if (and thats if) there is more ash and possibly more fines if using the non Super version, these pellets seem pretty good.

Will see how cleanup is after 10-15 bags (33 lb not 40) as the LaCrete stove cleaning is super easy. Ash just brushes off everything so easily.

That Camry has managed to carry quite a few large loads that one would not normally think could fit in a car.

Today is my off Friday, so I cleaned out the garage. Well, I cleaned all the pellets out of the garage. In total, I moved just shy of 2.5 tons.

    garage empty of pellets.jpg

Only the bottom two rows were already there (orange bags). On top of the orange bags are 10 bags of Orford's, 10 bags of Logik-e SW and the rest are MWP from TSC.

64 bags of MWPS - I should have started with this pallet first and I could have gotten all the TSC's on there
    pellets moved to beside drier.jpg

To prove that 64 bags as stated above wasn't a typo, each row is 8 bags.

Before I filled that big pallet, I moved the 14 bags of GS that were on there so they are next in line for the P61 (I counted them in the total moved) - oh yeah, and I moved two bags upstairs ready for the P43 to munch.

Garage won't be empty long. I have a delivery scheduled from HD next Friday for 6 tons - assuming my road agent signs off on it. Unfortunately my garage is not tall enough for their machine, so I'll hand move 4 tons into the garage and leave the other 2 tons outside.

That's quality Japanese engineering. And a slightly psychotic owner. :loco:

Have you considered picking up a pallet jack B? For around 200 bucks used on CL / FBM, it might be worth it, provided you have a trailer hitch on the Explorer / rent a U-Haul trailer or truck w/ ramp to pickup in Manchester or locally. It would make getting those pallets in the garage much easier: just a thought.

Not yet -but it hasn't even been 24 hours. For being an almost old lady (hit 60 in less than a month), it really didn't bother me. I'm sure I didn't move them as fast as I was moving pellets 6 years ago, but I also didn't feel the need to take any breaks.

Yeah, I'm thinking about that. But I also think about just sucking it up because I really don't get much exercise unless it is mowing, shoveling or sn*w blowing. And, it isn't like I have to move all of it at once - although I do tend to get in the mindset of once started, just get it done (unless it involves an actual home project, then it's get it 85-90% done and leave it for the rest of my life :emb:)

I think you should do both. :) The pallet jack might be handy later on, with that amount of tonnage.

^^ This is the current state of the Porch room - the land of 'misfit toys and home improvement projects'.:picard:

Lot's of cleaning, clearing & sorting to do this weekend. :emb:

But first, time to put the coffee on and get a few hours of IT work done. :coffee:

    Have a Fun day all!
