FB Marketplace or CL. Probably little to no response on here. Everyone on here already has a biomass unit.

Just changed over from rain to snow. Temp when I got up was 45. It's down to 31 now. Forecast stands at 15-20 by tomorrow evening and it's tracking slightly NE so looks to me like New England gets it again toward end of the week. It's a big storm.

Put the plow on the Kubota yesterday. I never put it on last winter. Didn't put the blower on however.

Being old, I have to have a cab and climate control when plowing snow. Plowing in a Tee shirt works for me.

High temp was 45 yesterday and even now still at 40*. I was able to beat some of the ice off the front stairs, the ramp and the landing pad for roof dumpage on the driveway yesterday. Hoping to be able to get most of the ice off today before the temp starts plunging. Betting the front stairs will still be a mound of ice with some edges clear. But I don't use that door anyway, so not a huge deal.

Supposed to start with rain, then sleet, then snow. With all the changes who knows how much will drop between today and tomorrow.

Driveway melted off yesterday as well. Some small areas of a little ice left but nit bad.

Adjusted the sn*wblower scraper bar last night. Had it way high due to asphalt conditions but was leaving too much sn*w behind, over an inch.

Left the skids down (at least an inch) to keep the bucket off the ground and protect the augers but lowered the scraper to about 1/4" gap. Hopefully wont catch much of anything such as high spots or cracks-will see tomorrow night or Saturday morning.

Forecast for SE NH now is rain, then sleet/ice, maybe an inch of snow at the end. Then really cold thru Sun, around zero Sat nite. Next week supposed to be 30's and 40's so only a couple days of slipping and sliding.

Took advantage of the mild day today to give the P43 a good cleaning. Almost 6 weeks since the last one (around Xmas), ash pan was maybe 7/8 full (and that was after I brushed a lot of ash off the top and sides into it).

Last year I bought some silicone kitchen brushes (used for brushing sauces, butter, egg wash, etc) and kept a couple for the P43 to give the heat exchangers a quick brush off when I do the daily burn pot scrape. Work well for a quick ash brush off and won't melt like a paint brush. Cut the handle down a bit on one, easier to get at that little shelf above the door.

Was able to finally beat the rest of the ice from the ramp yesterday afternoon. The bottom two front steps I got completely clear, but the upper ones still had several inches thick. It may be all gone now as it is still raining and 35* but I'm not interested enough to go look at 2am :).

During my first break from work; Ice at 8am after I had already removed as much ice as possible - that near portion is about 1" thick and it gets thicker as it gets closer to the ground

2nd break from work: 2pm I managed to chop the rest of the ice off
    Ice gone 2 pm 2-3-22.jpg

After log off; 3:30 pm, the paths were mainly ice free

and in some areas, the water was pooling since the ground is frozen

After performing chores, going to the dump and stopping at the grocery store, I installed the 4' plastic pipe that guides the garage sump pump water away from the house. I'm glad I did so since I know the pump has run at least once, and if I didn't install the extension, it would just hit the ice from roof dumpage and be directed back to the garage wall.

45 deg temps and rain into last night melted all the ice including pathways. At 2am was up for a moment and the paths were still clear (can see the dark paths vs white sn*w).

Up at 6am and all is white again-just not sure how much is sn*w vs sleet/ice. Took today off from work so havnt been out.

Been sleeting as I appear to be right on the ice/sn*w line

Hopefully the driveway has some sn*w on it under that sleet to get it up later this evening before the temps tumble.

Otherwise, it may just to sit there till melting

Got up at 3 to hit the bathroom, was rain/freezing rain. At 6 it was sleet, had 1-2 inches of it by 9. Seem to be in a little lull right now, feels like rain sprinkling, but radar shows more mix moving my way. Temp was 32 at 3am, now it's 26, supposed to drop to the teens tonight. We can get in & out fine. We were surprised Lori's doc appointment wasn't cancelled but the Rav will get her there fine.

Quick thaw and steady rain that ran right into 14 hours of sleet that then turned to sn*w

Tried cleaning to no avail as its 3 plus inches of cement. Changed to sn*w around 3pm and was supposed to be done around 6. At 7, was 3 hours trying to get ahead of this chit but sn*w just kept ramping back up.

Threw in the towel and will try again tomorrow. If its solid, then so be it.

I too got mostly packed down sleet. Not real hopeful that I can get any of it up. Will try to get the berm from the road plow, but it may have to stay there too. I AM NOT looking forward to trying to get it all off the Explorer. The tough part will be between the rails on the roof, the push broom that I use for snow will not work. Have to get it off so it doesn't fly off later into someone else's windshield. I miss my tent garage whe this chit happens.

When Lori went out at 11am it was a granular slush in the driveway. Around 4:30 when I went out to try clearing the driveway I stepped out and I didn't even make a footprint, it was solid. No problem getting the cars in and out so it'll just wait for the warmer weather coming starting Monday. Supposed to be in the low 40's by mid-week.
