I tend to drink something a bit stronger than beer if I need to go out in the sn*w. Doc says its a no no now!

    I miss my antifreeze.

Yeah, I'd had quite enough of shoveling/blowing/pushing the white crap around, and was part of the reason for the move south. Yeah, it was cold here the last couple of nights (high 20's), but warms up to high 40's/low 50's by early afternoon, and no white crap to be seen the past 2+ winters. (did I just jinx myself??? :headbang:)

That's cool JT. Glad you got the garden in for the season.

Years ago, when the ladies were little, Betsy had the great idea we should spread some "Butterfly Garden" seed kits throughout the lawn. Great for the butterfly population here: not-so-much for the 'quality of the clippings' on our yard, as the ratio of grass / to "butterfly friendly invasive plant species" is pretty low. ... Sigh. Getting buzzed by butterflies in the yard, while mowing, is worth it though.

Been off the forum for awhile - with all the adverse events in the IT world this past year, businesses going from zero to "1,000%" w/ everything opening back up last quarter, new projects / trying to 'create business value' in addition to 'defending the IT borders' against what seems-to-be the entire world .. hasn't left much time for anything else. ... After 'umpteen' hours staring at a computer screen, basics (food, sleep) have been pretty much the norm.

Hope all is well w/ everyone reading, things are good here: we got food, shelter, water, and heat ... the family is healthy ... so life is good.

It's 'off to the races' again today ... got another project slated to go live next week, gotta get busy. I'll be visiting FHC more often though.

    Stay Warm everyone! Rob

Next spring we are planting lavender in a portion of the field I have to mow. Not only due the butterflies love the stuff but so do the bees. My neighbor is fetching the plants for us as he has a bee colony. We might even get to sample the honey produced. Win win for us! :D

Took me a bit to remember due to my CRS. But it struck me.
Good times from the youth! We were deprived as kids no cable just the old tinfoil and antenna. My uncle would pull out the stooges when we visited for me and my sisters to chuckle at while they(adults/parents) played cards(tipped the nip).

That's very cool JT ! (If you want a great garden, it pays to know a Beekeeper.) We look forward to seeing the Bees rousting around in the lawn - 'cause we know it's going to be a great summer.

The natural Bee population is -just- starting to recover to a healthy level on the property over the past few years, after the decline back in 2010 - 2014 .. some 8-10 years later. Even the pesky mud wasps & hornets get a 'free pass' in the summer. .. I've had to 'move' a few their nests from under the back deck -> into the woods on the property over the years .. and THAT is always a fun time. Usually after a few drinks, at 3 in the morning, and suited up like a 'Bomb Disposal technician', LOL.
