They will eat through wire insulation, and cause short circuits.
They will also eat through hydraulic lines on a piece of equipment...
    I know...

Merry Christmas everyone! For the first time in 49 years we did not have Christmas at my house. My wife and I went to my oldest sons house in Danville NH. We left right after lunch so we avoided the bad roads and all the accidents. The roads were salted and the traffic was light and slow. I guess it was really bad. Thankfully no issues for us.
My sons Advance was putting along and he is thrilled with the stove. SO much better than my old Baby Countryside. The best thing he said, was the fact that the stove can burn any pellet. He sold the Baby to his neighbor for $300. The guys is a mechanic so he will keep up on the proper cleaning.

Had freezing rain/freezing drizzle most of yesterday. The roof dumped most of the ice/snow load it had beenholding onto since the beginning of last week. Good thing about the roof dumping was that it made the ramp walkable again (it had been just a smooth sheet of ice, so I was able to clear most of the dumpage on it and on the driveway. Snowed overnignt about an inch. The outside temp has been 33* since 4 pm yesterday.

We have been having snow flying since Christmas eve day...

Last night it cooled off and stuck....About 2" on everything.....

Just enough on the roof that the house is really cozy now.

Went to town and grabbed breakfast at our local haunt.....

    Absolutely beautiful outside.

Another day or so and we will be able to run Munchy and crush more shells......
Got about 2-1/2 barrels in the basement that are stove ready....

Hope everyone had a great Christmas.....

I didn't know any snow tire would wear that well. Noise and ride have always been the main reasons for me to do the change over. With the change over comes an alignment. We don't go but 6 or 7 thousand miles between the two cars we have. I have to get the alignment because my wife loves pot holes and curbs. She always want to spread that love around. I don't own extra rims. Our van is 11 and our Kia is 4. Both run excellent. Van has a lifetime warrantee. We are both in our 70's and have no plans to trade. We'll run them until either they or us are gone.

Christmas has come and now gone. Decorations were limited to a wreath on the door and one lite Santa inside. Went to our children's homes for the celebrations. Both home had beautiful trees and other decorations all around. We filled our van with gifts we gave out. Most everyone was grateful. We even received a few. So all in all it was a good time. Those kids sure know how to cook. Wonderful meals.
We have a game on TV. Those Panthers sure love Brady. They keep running after him to give him a big hug! .
We have started running the stove again. Nothing beats stove heat during the cold winter months. I noticed our floors were not as warm when we were not using the stove. I don't know how, but the floors warm up almost to the edge of the room when the stove runs. (ceramic tile over cement)
Hope you all had a good Christmas

Should be followed by a big pat on the butt from their shoe

Started running the stove off and last week as well. Ran it almost all day yesterday and house definitely felt warmer. Stove cruised right along using less than half a bag of LaCretes from a dead cold start in the basement. Anyone heating basement up knows what I am talking about as it takes time to heat that before penetrating upstairs.

I have been using my mini split and my propane furnace for heat up to when I finally turned on the pellet stove. Would have used a ton and half had it not been for the mini split which only sips electricity.

I hear your local electricity provider is increasing their KWH rate by 85% after January 1. Gonna be an expensive sip I'd say....
