Once again, probably an easy fix. They get "gummy" from dirt/oil, etc. If you can take the case apart, I'm betting some compressed air &/or WD40 can get it working......unless the spring is broken, which is rare.

Take a shot at it.....what have you got to lose?

This might help, but there are MANY YouTube video's on it....just punch your make and problem like "Craftsman blower rope", or something like that.

I already looked at the video I need to follow. This particular configuration, I need to take just about the whole dang thing apart to get it back on track. which is why I opted to find a used one in case I royally screw it up since I am much better than destruction than fixing.

My son has a side hustle whereby he picks up free small engine gas equipment that won’t start, either at the local dump or Craigslist. He removes the carburetor and does an ultrasonic cleaning of the carb. 90% of the time, the cleaned carb engine starts right up. He buys a rebuild kit or new carb for the ones beyond hope and gets them running. He sells them locally and hasn’t had one come back yet.

I got a booster today. Mixed and matched the brand. A key thing is drinking something with electrolytes after the shot. I learned that when I got my second shot. Arm hurt a lot less.

My only shot was Johnson and it kicked my azz for 2 days after back in April. Cant remember being that sick.
High temp, chills, sweats, body aches, nausea-the whole enchilada.

Two days later I was fine.

Now that Johnson is approved for booster I have to schedule a Friday just in case as we are so short handed at work. Definitely getting something different but looks like a few weeks out unless I want to chance our Thanksgiving weekend being affected.

Lori & I got our boosters a month ago. I got Pfizer, no side effects. She got Moderna, was sick for 2 days. She got hers before Moderna officially announced their dose was to be half of the original shot and we wonder if she got a full dose.

We have guardianship of our 10 yr old autistic grandson. A week ago Tues his school has me go pick him up at lunch, he had a slight fever and was complaining of chills. Policy is that he would have to stay home the next day and would need a negative Covid test to return. An hour after he got home his fever was 102. So we were able to get a test for him later that day. And it came back positive. So he is in quarantine till tomorrow, goes back to school Mon. Ironic part is he was scheduled to get his vax last Wed.

He was sick for about 2 more days, fever broke on Fri, had like a bad cold till about Mon, back to his old self now. In talking with a couple of his teachers there are more cases in the school system ( SAU17) and they are worried about having to go back to hybrid or full remote which Graham does not do well with.

Lori & I had like very mild cold symptoms for a couple days , glad we got the boosters. We didn't have to quarantine, just have to wear masks if we go out which we have been doing all along anyway. And from the way things are going looks like we will for a while to come.

Got my Moderna booster yesterday. Arm a bit sore but that’s it. I didn’t have any reaction to any of the 3 Moderna shots. But I did have the virus in September of last year prior to the vaccine being available…..

ANY store after all the family get togethers on Thanksgiving.

Got an email from Graham's school (Memorial Middle School in Newton) that they are doing remote learning Mon & Tues because the everyone wearing a mask policy the past 2 weeks didn't do anything to slow the spread of covid cases.

Some days the stars just align......

Spent the last 2 days trying to troubleshoot why our 12 yr old Generac GP6500E is not producing power. Finally narrowed it down to the stator. Price for a replacement is outrageous. So decided to shop for a replacement generator that I could get local, now. Found a decent Predator in stock at Harbor Freight, 9000w surge/7250w running for $799. A bit more than I wanted to pay. Then check my email, Harbor Freight 3-day sale, has a 15% off ANY 1 item coupon, in store only purchase, today thru Sun. (usually on HF coupons the list of items EXCLUDED is 10 times the items you can actually use it on) Well $680 is a bit easier to swallow. Print the coupon, go check stock online at the Salem store, yes in stock. Drive over, buy one, clerk puts it on a lift cart, wheels it out to the Rav4, we slide it right in and I'm home 20 min later.

Side notes- Register clerk said "where are all these coupons coming from? We weren't told of any special coupon with this sale". He also spent the whole time I was there just leaning against the register, really disinterested in being there. Guess he figured "there's a big help wanted sign in the window, what they gonna do, fire me?".

Good thing you checked your email before buying. You believe in stars aligning? That's total hogwash - it was the lunar eclipse that helped you out :D

Whatever it was, something told me to check my email and there it was. Only the 2nd time I've found a HF no exclusion coupon. Last time was about 2-1/2 yrs ago and with a sale & the coupon got a $1500 pro-equivalent tablet car scan tool for $999 (Zurich ZR Pro looks like a clone of an Altel, software is the same ).

All the reviews of this Predator 63970 seem overwhelmingly positive. Found a couple 2-3 year usage review videos on YouTube and (as with anything) maintained properly they last.

I watch Taryl all the time. The teeth are hilarious. He just started a new test, with some new additives. Hes going to get them sit 6 months with gas in them and try to start them. If they start Hes going to try again in 9 months. The only engine that made the original test was the one running ethanol free fuel.

I've always had good results using Sea Foam. I tried Stabil in a snowblower once and whenI finally got it started (using an extension cord because it was being so difficult), it ran poorly and threw out nasty smoke and smells. Using Sea Foam, I've never had issues starting or running anything. Heck, my motorcycle was in storage from October 2019 until April 2021 and it started and ran just fine using Sea Foam. I rode it for 14 miles and then it sat until July 2021 and started/ran fine when I sold it with that nearly 2 year old tank of gas. That is using ethanolized gas since it is very difficult to find pure gas around here. I had to use 92 octane or above for the bike, I don't know if that would make a difference though.

I do make sure that if I can't run an engine out of gas before storing, I top up the fuel tank to keep as much air out as possible.
