Hopefully 2 pallets coming home tonight, today is the last day of presale. Winter is coming, 40's yesterday.
Replace the lyrics "I got my 45's on so I can rock on" with "I got my pellet stove on"

Well the house hit the market today….my realtor expects 15-20 groups per day for the next 4 days……this is stressful.

Holy cow those things are expensive. I guess it is all relative considering the thermostat I have been using was somewhere in the range of $20. It is just a basic stat with on/off, temp setting and displays current temp when not adjusting the set temp - nothing fancy which is the way I like it. It doesn't need wifi/phone or electricity (just batteries).

So educate me, would the receiver be wired to the P43 in-line with the room temp probe as I have the current stat? Do they make any units that can be used more than 20' away? Here is the one I looked at real quick just for an idea. I'm not good with wiring and it took me forever to understand how to wire my basic Lux unit. Since it doesn't have any of the TP, TH stuff so I'm confused as to how I could use something along that line:doh:

We've got the 3301P ( Skytech 3301P Programmable Fireplace Remote Control ), have had it for 8 years. Yes the receiver just gets wired in-line with the room temp probe and if you wanted just add a few more feet of wire and mount it where ever you want instead of on the side of the stove where ours is. The thermostat unit can be placed where ever you want as well, it has a holder the unit sits in. Very programmable, lots of options. Batteries (AAA in transmitter, AA in receiver) last a year, the thermostat will hold the programming for a few min so changing the batteries doesn't wipe out your settings. We have the transmitter (aka the thermostat part) on a wall about 10 feet away, on real cold days we can either move it a couple feet closer to the back of the house (faces N, the coldest part of the house) but usually will just set it to RUN (constant burn) and turn the feed rate down a bit (the old renegade mode).

Now that we are both retired it's probably a bit much but it was great having it kick up before we got up, kick down when we were at work then back up before we got home. But it's nice to just press a button to kick it over to just RUN mode from what ever thermo temp if we want to crank out more heat for a while. The P43 always runs in room temp/manual in our house anyway.

Thank you scajjr2 for confirming that it is inline. Since I work from home, I am here 24/7 so programming isn't really needed. However, having extra features isn't a bad thing. I do like that it doesn't have the backlighting and that was one of my informal criteria. The wiring diagrams confuse me - would I use the direction for Wiring Millivolt Valves or the one for Wiring for Electronic Spark? Yes, I am totally clueless when it comes to these things and am not afraid to admit it.

Thank you for the list imacman .

Neighbor listed for 200k, sold for 220k. They bought it 7 years ago at auction for 45k and did nothing to it (1960's house - all original, and definitely not high end materials).
