3 tons today, awf 250 a ton, pro Pellet was 210. The most I've paid in the last 7 years for pro pellets.

:bug:. Wonder if it because of the chip shortage?

I had 2 tons of pellets on layaway at TSC. Picked up 1 ton yesterday. With the new-to-me-Explorer having 20" wheels instead of the 18" on my old Explorer (new one was ordered with the appearance package on it), decided to do that in 2 trips instead of 1. Will probably pick up the other ton today.

That will have me at 5 tons ready for this season. I haven't had to light the stove yet. I have run the mini-split a couple of mornings to get the house temp above 68*, but I don't think I would have run the P43 at this point if I hadn't had the MS installed this summer.

We got ours back in May and from what I've seen prices are now $10-$20/ton more.

Menards has them off and on. Probably just so the farm stores selling pro pellets don't look bad for charging more?

is that enough meat to last all season or do you supplement with door to door sales people?

We had a bob white quail in the yard last week at the feeder. Must have escaped from someone's mini farm. Probably a hawks' lunch by now.

Was pecking around the ground with the doves.

Monday afternoon I look out to see easily 25 crows all around the bird feeders. Have never seen that before.

Was a balmy 47 at 6:30 this morning. Looks like I'll be pulling out the AC's and getting the housed buttoned up a bit earlier this year.

Usually when I see a vehicle, It will remind me of people I know that own them. I see a burb today and it reminded me of smoke show

Odd thing is this burb even had Wisconsin plates! I wonder?? :hair:

The mini-split has kept the warm for the last several days. Last night I unpacked the exhaust and OAK of the P43, filled the hopper, plugged it in and set the thermostat. It ran a couple of times last night.

May change over to the mini-split during the day time and run the stove at night until temps get colder. Wish the thermostat controlling the stove wasn't in my office now - I'd run it for the main house and let the MS unit in my office keep the temp swings from annoying me while I work. It's not easy to run the stat to another room as the wire would have to go thru the garage to set it up in one of the bedrooms. Otherwise I would have done that from the start since the objective was to make sure those stay warm enough. May have to play with just running the fan on the MS unit in the office and see if that helps but logic tells me it won't.
