Actually I still have some Fusions that I got for $125 last fall off CL:D. I don't have any of the firesale stuff left but you never know what you can find on CL. I was tempted to get some NEWPS for $2/bag last weekend but didn't feel like driving down to MA to get them.

Started the bath demo, Got pretty far in a day. Now to get the new stuff picked out.

    20210618_125217[1].jpg

Actually have the insulation and also the floor ripped up too. Might also demo out the wall on the left due to the holes. Should be able to start the plumbing rough in Monday or Tuesday. Plus do a complete electrical overhaul.

I didn't snap a pic, But will tomorrow. The new service rough in is done waiting on the inspector to sign off. Went from 100 amp scary chit to a 200 amp with a generator inter lock. Once it passes inspection then we are waiting for Eversource to do the transfer to the new service.

Propane tank is scheduled to be removed Wednesday(unless they reschedule again!). And still waiting on when we can schedule the oil tank removal. Quote was higher than expected, But will be glad when its out of the ground.

    Busy busy, worky worky!

If your wife is anything like mine, picking out the new stuff is gonna take longer than ripping out the old stuff! Good luck!

Still waiting on the electrical inspection. It was pushed from Monday to tomorrow at 11:00 am. After the inspection, We will temporarily feed the new panel via the generator interlock from the old panel for better protection and just feed the required circuits for now. We will wire the whole new panel circuits just keep the not needed stuff turned off. I still have a few dead circuits to ripe the wire out of. One of todays quick projects.

Holding off on the plumbing until the electrical is inspected. Only other thing I can do for now is do some stabilizing of the main joist beam. Some of the support posts/columns have rotted at the base due to ground contact. Cement floor isn't original and they just cemented around the columns. Oddly the main beam is grafted in the center and thats were all the settling has happened. I picked up a couple of jack posts and have slowly started to raise the beam to level the main floor. Then I will cement the holes where the columns were and add some new supports. Fun fun! Specially when the creaking happens. Scarredy cat me is ready to run for the hills!!

Stocking up on plumbing supplies and fittings. The bath will be done in pex which is all new to me. Starting with the tools today on my daily home depo or lowes visit. I did order all the bath fixtures and they should be arriving around June 30th.

    :ups:

I’d be real torn about using the pex if it’s new to you and you’re burying it.

I wouldn’t trust myself to do it right the first few times and be burying it. Do you plan to have any access holes on the opposite side of certain points in the wal? My shower sink wall backs up to a closet and I have a few knockouts in there.
Has saved my rear a couple times.

I have contemplated doing all the buried in walls stuff in copper. Just doing pex in the open basement area. I trust my solder joints more better than the pex. My plumber buddy says that once I get comfy with the plastic I will love it. Still very skeptical and up in the air about it!! :(
