Well, after 20 years and 267,000 miles, it's finally time to let the '02 TrailBlazer LTZ go on to a new home. My 2 daughters basically grew-up in that truck, and I bought it when they were 5 & 6 years old, mainly to have a 4WD vehicle with room for "stuff", and a truck frame under it. It was the first year for the new design, and I usually don't buy things the 1st year they come out, but I couldn't pass up the deal. After some new version "issues" were sorted out, it has been a great vehicle.

To this day, it starts every time, sits & idles at 650 RPM like from the factory. Engine, trans, transfer case, & rear are all original & never have been replaced or rebuilt. A testament to all 100% synthetic fluids. I'll be selling it privately, as the trade-in value isn't anything to write home about, but it's in Excellent condition considering it's age.

A "new" vehicle will arrive Friday and I'll post more pics, but here's a teaser....see who can figure out make, model, year. ;)

Seems we never have enough room for that. I went from a no garage to 3 bays and I think its not going to be enough for all my "stuff" :D

I barely remember when 4 doors was two to many, Now its a must these days!! :)

Like the color of the new ride!! With that big chrome grille its must be a GMC?

New dish washer got it's inaugural run yesterday....
Too many bells and whistles.....I like THE PRESS TO START BUTTON KIND
This beast has all manner of modes to select from.
Finally decided that the 1 hour wash without the heated dry was plenty good.
We always wipe the dishes off with a paper towel before we toss them in the washer.

Do not like pouring a lot of food stuff down the drain.

But the new machine is Quiet......

    Another debacle handled.....

Same color as the TrailBlazer it's replacing....LOVE that Red Tint Coat 3 stage paint. Amazing color in the sun.

Jay is correct on the manufacturer, but Dan is a little off on the year.

No, not new (can't afford $50-70K trucks ). Certified Pre-owned, not crew cab....extended cab.

I miss the turn the timer dial to start kind. One thing on my dishwasher that also has too many bells ad whistles, I have to set it to make both the bottom water spinner AND the middle water spinner for the top rack to run, otherwise default is bottom spinner only and my coffee cups do not get clean. I have to reset it often too, if a different cycle gets used or the electricity goes out.

The old school timer type was pretty much bomb proof.
If they die....just toss in a fresh timer and good to go.
The pumps and such usually lasted a long time.

The new machines are like everything else...LOADED WITH COMPUTERS.....

    Fantastic while they work......

I remember my mothers MAYTAG clothes washer...
Sat in a covered area outside on the porch....I had a little gas engine...

Stomped the pedal and it buzzed away and did it's thing.

Fill the tub with water ....Turn on the faucet and stick the hose in the tub....add soap...A handful usually......Pull the cast iron lever on the side to engage the agitator.....

Drain the dirty water out the bottom. (Out a hose and down the driveway)

Run the clothes through the wringer....drop back in the tub...add clean water...Rinse...do again.....
Wring out...hang on the line to dry.

    Wow....how times have changed......
