It may soon turn into “can’t we just...” when you’re looking to update/grade stuff in new home.

My UPS is malfunctioning. Did it die?. Couple weeks ago he got me up at 4 am to fix the router so he could work, of all things it was the UPS. Pressed the power button and it came back on good to go. It's happened several times since then, out of nowhere, quiet beep then everything plugged into it (including my computer and our router) but today the power button on the UPS did not turn it back on.

Every other outlet in the house remains powered so isolated to the UPS. The weird thing the only item connected to the UPS is my old commercial laser printer does not lose power like all the other items. Any ideas?

I'll order a new power strip with surge protection and cross my fingers there are no power surges til it arrives as computer and router are plugged into wall.

UPS' are only good for 3-5 years. Then the battery needs to be replaced. If your UPS is still a model that is sold, you can send your unit in for a battery replacement. They'll recycle the battery and it's cheaper than buying a new UPS. Or at least that was the case years ago. They may be toss-aways now.

Does it show the internal battery charge level? Those batteries do go bad after awhile.

You can buy replacements online and install yourself....usually a "slide out old, slide in new" type deal.....at least it is on my APC units. Batteries can be recycled at the local dump, usually.

Yes sir, But she'll have another assistant besides the wood eater. She'll have a big ugly green box that blows hot air and sucks dino juice. Wood eater will go into storage until I can figure out where to put it. No second chimney and the juice sucker might be easier to handle in the future.

X2 Happy Birthday and hope you have an awesome day! :)
