Nice job Art! So nice to have a shop. I used to have one. Hopefully will again next year.
Because I am so close to the ocean, I'm not sure what I will get out of this storm. It was 27 then went to 34, now it's back to 30. Snowblower is ready. I wired the generator in the motorhome to a transfer switch in the house. 75 gallons of gas in the tank so I'm good for a couple of days. Can't hurt to be prepared.

I am going to put the motorhome up for sale in the Spring. I'm going to buy a MEP 803a diesel generator to replace the one in the motorhome. Very quiet and they run forever. 10,000 watt rating but capable of producing 18,000 continuous.

Giving them more air and 'torching' them may help WW, just a thought.

Got about a foot, Hard to tell with the wind. Drift over the snow blower. Hit the pile, Back up and hit it again. Got to say the rider with the blower attachment is way more funner than the walk behind. Thing is a freakin beast.

Haven't measured yet but seems to be 8-10" of snow on the ramp railing. Could be more once I get out there. The neighbors will L-O-V-E me at 5am. No, I don't have to drive to work, but I do have to log in at 6am and have meetings most of the day starting at 6:30. I need to hit the berm before they plow again (I'm shocked they plowed overnight - they usually wait until 4-5am). it's 28* now and I suspect it will get warmer and turn everything to mush - plus the wind is supposed to start cranking too. If you want, I can give you a few more excuses for waking the neighbors up :D. Eh, not like the nearest neighbors work anyway and I won't do the paths around the back until lunchtime (unless I have to do the driveway again - then they will wait until 4-5pm. So, the young families won't be disturbed in the apartment buildings behind me.

Looks to be 10-12" here. A few flurries or it could be just wind blown. Will be heading out in a while.

looking like about 14" at my place. 1 hour with the snowblower. driveway is double wide 100' to the house, single wide next to the garage, and double wide 100 feet to the workshop (but the RV covers part of it).
lit a fire in the workshop stove and off to work!

connected the clutch rods last night on the C project and noticed that the clutch is stuck to the flywheel. The tractor sat for 10 years after getting an engine overhaul and new clutch. i noticed some rust on the new pressure plate.

Soooo, got to pull the engine to fix it. might be a good thing as I was wondering about a welch plug in the rear of the engine into the water jacket. many people overlook replacing them if they look a little poor. I'll be able to look at it when i pull the flywheel

I have a 2002 36 foot Damon Challenger 348. Ford chassis. Like all of my things it still looks almost new. Iirc, it has 26,000 miles on it. It has a Onan Marquis Gold 5500 watt generator that gets used a lot. Never skipped a beat! Just put 6 new tires on it last year. I've owned it since '02. Synthetic oil since I've owned it.

Weather cooperated and got down in the mid teens this morning. I was hoping for a nice cold night to help drive moisture out of the snow from earlier in the week. I still need to snow blow paths for water drainage and since this is my off-Friday, I'll get that done this morning. My neighbors should be happy that I won't be doing it at 5am :) This will be just in time for the rain this afternoon (assuming the snow turns to rain in my area like the weather-guessers say will happen).

What a week. 4 nights of 12.5 hour overnite shifts, snow blowing/shoveling snow after and before work. Neighbors little Kabota would not start so I snowblowed her out too. The Quadrafire E2 started making noise during the storm Monday, convection fan was failing. I got in there and sprayed a bit of WD and some silicone in the one side of bearing trying to get it to survive to my day off Thursday. Got into bed at 11 am Tuesday only to have wifey wake me at 230 saying there was bad odor in the house. The fan seized up. My local quad shop was closed Monday and Tuesday due to the storm so forced to burn dino for a day. Stove shop answered the phone Wednesday at 10 am. Had the fan and discounted the price since I bought stove there and discussion about on line shopping vs local shop support. Shout out to Heat Survival in Pleasant Valley Quadrafire and Harmon dealer. Threw in fan assy. very easy and stove is back in service. Came home yesterday and slept for a few hours then went over and installed new battery in the Kabota and ran heat gun over fuel pump and lines to help out the anti gel additive I added to tank the day before. It fired up and her grandson finished the lower driveway. Now I have 4 nights off and finally got a full night of rest last night so I'm good to go today. Going to do do a good cleaning on the stove since surround is off and stove is pulled out a bit. Then work on fridge, gotta modify the defrost system on the evaporator. If time allows also look into dishwasher issue. Feel good knowing I will get another good night of sleep tonight, going back to day shift next month and family will be over Sunday to watch Superbowl !

Got the shed roof raked and snow blowing done. I came inside and shed my gear. Looked out the window and it was snowing - I timed that just right. Never got warm enough to rain, but only got 1-2" of snow.

Got my taxes done and bills paid so it was a productive day before I decided it was too gray and gloomy of a day to continue doing anything else but read :)
