What's up today? ...Nothing... It's all coming down and it's slushy and wet. How come there is never the perfect 16" of light fluffy powder you see on snowblower commercials?

That is my hometown, that is what is left of the Riviera packing company, Johnny Hicks almost bought the farm there when a retort went boom back in 60's. My father ran the shipping room there when it was known as Cape Cod Tuna.

Gotta say that I am impressed with this year's offering of Okie Platinums. I got 10 bags last week, that along with 10% off for 10+ bags AND a 15% off online order coupon, got them in an acceptable price range from the local Aubuchon's.

I got some of the Okie Plats back in 2017 - a year after Veridis was bought by American Biomass. They were good, pushing out 250* air from the P43 (for comparison, this year's TSC MWP's push out 140* and the original Okie Golds pushed 250*). But, since they cost a bit more than the MWP's, they weren't a value buy.

Well, the one's I got this year are pushing 275*, which is along the lines of Fireside Platinums, original Lignetic Golds and North Americans which were in that ballpark (260-275). Unfortunately I never put any Cubex or Vermonts in the P43, so don't have any temps to compare for those.

Ended up with maybe 4 inches of white stuff after it rained until about 1pm. Will go clear the driveway once the wind dies down a bit.

Birds must think it's the end of the world, had 14 doves, 3 pileated woodpeckers, 3 cardnials, 6-8 little juncos , a few wren types and a couple pigeons after I put out fresh seed & suet this morning.
