I usually try to wait until Nov to start running the P43 but with night temps in the mid-30s and rain/snow , fired her up last night. Cold, stormy weather really bothers my arthritis and the nice heat from the stove really helps (along with the CBD oil).
Funny when we first got the stove it seemed loud. Now I find the whir of the fans and clinking of pellets being fed rather soothing , like welcoming an old friend back.

If they were getting snow today in imacman's new home, he'd see this out his window:

I've been watching the weather for us here on the seacoast of NH. Yesterday they were talking snow to our east. Now we may even get a bit. I did a deep clean and polish on the stove. I absolutely love this thing. Fired up for the first time like I shut it off yesterday. What a joy compared to the Baby Countryside. Don't get me wrong, it worked well enough but it was needy. This thing just runs and runs.
Went to Home and Hearth for some Vermonts this morning. No entry into the showroom without an appointment. Pellet pick ups are done in the warehouse. I like that better other than I don't get to see the stoves. Prices about the same as last year. I'll run the stove regardless of oil prices. I love the heat and the ambiance
I'm going to run the backpack blower tomorrow to get rid of the leaves that fell in the two days since I did it last. I hate shoveling leaves!

    Oh, happy belated birthday SS!

The Vermonts went up $10 to $310 from 2019, price hasn't changed since I got mine there back in May. I got a ton of NW Supreme Doug Firs at the same time, $25 more at $395. It has since gone up to $400. East Coast Lumber in Hampstead is getting $315 for the VTs, $421.50 for the NWSDF.

Something I would never have done with my Baby....I may grab a bag of Chow at HD and see how they burn in the Accentra. Maybe I'm wasting money buying premium pellets?

70* out, big wind from what's left of the storm (gusts up to 35+ here), trop. strm. warnings out. With as wet as the ground is, I decided to move the genny's to the front of the line in the garage. Fingers crossed.......

Well, 90% of the wind is gone....few gusts here & there. We ended up with 50 mph + gusts after I posted above comment. Luckily, power only blinked once, some branches & a lot of wet leaves on the ground. 77* here right now and sunny.

If it burns like the P series, you won't have any trouble with the Chow.
