I use a bread pan for lasagna for 2....works great and is almost the perfect size for the lasagna pasta. BUT, as lasagna is always better a day or more later leftovers are always deliecous-so go ahead and make a large pan

Sunny day and 40 degrees for the first time that I can remember and fianlly getting some melting, if only for 1 day

Cleaned up last nights snow and got some more of that ice dam off the roof causing leaks on the first floor ceilings.

Snow blower either broke or lost a pin that drives one of the 2 augers. Not sure if its a shear pin as there is a shear bolt right next to it that attaches the auger to the collar. This pin goes through the collar and the drive shaft therefore driving the auger, but I never knew it was even there so I didnt have a spare.

Macgivered it with a cotter pin as all I had left was light stuff to clean. I will get the right pin on Tuesday.

Ugh. Here we go again. It got up to 30 today, and that felt pretty good. Now I get online, and the local weatherman is saying the low is somewhere around -12 tonight. :shiver:

I don't mind normal winter weather, but this is getting nuts. We've almost set the record for snowiest February ever, and we're bearing down on coldest February ever as well. If the weather pattern holds, this February will be the 2nd coldest month EVER in NW OH. Only Jan 1977 was colder. Boy it seems like the SCF is gobbling down the corn. Bought about 2400 lbs on January 25th, and it's almost gone. Burned probably 10 bags of pellets since then too.

I am told it got a bit warmer today. I haven't been outside since last Wednesday. Might attempt to go out tomorrow. Son came up today and removed the snow from the storm we got during the night. If some of the black top shows, then it will melt some even it is below freezing.
The weather man say the coldest night of the season will be tomorrow night. I can't tell you how many times I have been hearing that night after night. So sick of it. Nothing I can do but be grateful I don't have to go out and try to get around unless I want to. Always nice and warm in here. Lots to eat. Grandkids have been up a few times. That helps lift the spirits.

It was nice to have a normal temp day and see some melting off the 2 story back roof that I cant get to for snow removal. I am not going up there and not letting anyone that isnt an insured pro either-which you cant get one of those right now.

These 20 degree below normal days really need to come to and end and soon :faint:
