Test burn of the stove. Kitten got to see it run for the first time.

Hot water heater is beginning to fail right on time warranty wise. What a racket.

Have noticed that with our P43 as well. Every year I do the end of season clean expecting to find the the fines box full and every year there is hardly anything in there.

Don't toss those Nielsen mailings. They have a $1 bill in them and if you return the questionnaire (prepaid envelope) they'll send you $5. Granted not much but it's free money.

I'm a bit late but many thanks for the birthday wishes. I've been logged in to the site but it's been a while since I've been here. Like others, I've had a rough time of things lately. Toward the end of last month I joined Art C as a member of the Open Heart Surgery Club. Had some issues and ended up having a pacemaker put in as well. After 9 days in the hospital they finally let me leave. 5 days later I was back in because I couldn't breathe. After 2 ultrasounds and a catheter inserted into my heart, it took a third ultrasound to finally figure out that pericardial sack my heart sits in was full of fluid. Not only was this causing my breathing issues but it was also causing my kidneys to fail as well. I ended up having a syringe inserted in the pericardial sack that removed 590 ml (19.95 ounces) of fluid. Once that was done my breathing and kidney function started improving. I was discharged on the 8th day. I'm slowly improving but I'm still weak and unsteady on my feet. I'm burning with lots of help. I can't lift a bag of pellets until the beginning of Dec. As has been stated here before, It Sucks Getting Old.

Careful with that. Good for one use only. I posted one several years ago. Someone used it, as intended, but I thought it was generic. When I went to use it, it came up as already redeemed. Somehow it is in the barcode.

That sucks big time. But, on the better side, you are here with us. You just retired and get hit with that problem. Almost dead! Get well our friend.

First half of my pellets were delivered today. I'll get the rest later in the winter. (storage issues) I did the spring pre buy from Pellet Warehouse in Jay Me. The owner delivered the pellets. Heck of a nice man. Wish I could have been able to go out and talk with him, but I fell on the bathroom floor last PM. My legs and back hurt like the dickens so I am staying low today. My son was here to help with the delivery. Always a pleasure to deal with Mr. Barker and his family.

One of the main reasons I retired almost immediately after I was eligible. I knew too may friends I worked with who worked, and worked, and worked, all looking for the "big" retirement check, only to fall ill, or die soon after. Not me....I wanted to spend as much time enjoying life, especially with my daughters and close friends. Been over 10 years since I made that decision, and didn't regret it once. You can't spend all that extra $$$$ if you're not here anymore.
