    HOT HERE...100 F
ARRRRRRRRGH....I hate this sort of weather.......

Far better to have 60 F to 70 F and a breeze....Ya can get stuff done.....

AC is working it's butt off.....
I installed a 4 ton central unit back in 1994 and the old girl is still shouldering the load....

Much easier to heat this barn than cool it...cheaper too...

    Be safe troops........

And that "Bam" might be you finding out you are going to be a grandfather. Now doesn't that make you feel your age. I don't know what young men are going to do these days with some much turmoil going on. I know it will settle down, but it is such a dynamic age for them. Looking back, I wish I had done more recreating with my sons. We did some fishing and camping, but I had to work an extra job and overtime to make ends meet. 4 kids and school cost a lot. In their teens, my kids wanted to be with their friends instead of family events. They all worked part time jobs while in HS.

    A. Young men are going to work their way around the turmoil of their age the same way every generation has done. B. You fished and camped with your sons. C. You worked your azz off to provide. D. You let them grow on their own. E. They followed your lead, and worked. From what I see, you did all the right things. Be proud!

Out here in Western Oregon we don't OFTEN get high humidity with the heat.....just gets HOT.

Many people think of the PAC NW as wet and dismal......that's a winter thing.

Late June through mid September it can ad does get HOT

We have been seeing 90-100 F this past several days.....Cooling waaaaaaaaaaaaay down starting today through the weekend...... Gonna be some much better working weather......

Been working steadily on the snow cat project....hot weather has been annoying, but getting things done.
Picked up a 1993 Chevy S10 to use the cab off of for the cat.
Scrapped the Astro van ideas due to a very serious batch of conflicts as far as being able to get to the engine and such to pull maintenance....

Going to relocate the original cab to the rear.

Will gut the original cab and then install a couple bucket seats back there for more passenger room.

Getting the S10 KNOWN AS THE "Wretched little truck" ....... WLT

Got the bed off yesterday....the front end all off earlier in the week....
The cab mounts/bolts were a real concern....as these can rust up and then refuse to come out without breaking...
The 4 cab bolts all came off with ease.....:yes:

Today's project is to build a lifting rig to grab the cab without damaging it......

The WLT was a Craig's list score for $300 and likely after I sell off the bed, rolling chassis, tires/wheels I should come out with my cab and $$$$$ to the good.......

Seller bought the rig and then lost interest in it......I can see why..... WRETCHED LITTLE TRUCK

Glass is all good and the interior DOES NOT STINK from mold or rodents living in there.

Some clown trashed the steering column after they lost the keys....

Gonna have to visit the upullit yard and scare up a good column.

Front seat is a bench and well used up.

Bucket seats will likely be the choice.

Carpet is crap and has a date with the burn pile ....

    Nice rear sliding window......

The front fenders were a tad bit out of my spec.....one had a big BUTT sized dent in it, and the other one had rot in the lower 3 inches by the rockers.

All the rest of the body is sweet with zero rust anywhere.

The fender rust was due to an area that catches dirt and mud from road spray and it can't get out....so things rot....

    A few pics.
