It was nice here today also. I think we got up to 50 or so. Figured I'd give the furnace a quick cleaning.

It was 16 days since the last cleaning.

22 bags of pellets went through the furnace since the last clean out. 12 bags were Ozarks that I picked up to try. I figured it would be a quick cleaning, dump the pan, run the brush around and be done. I've been burning about 30-35 bags between cleanings and the ash pan still had plenty of room left.

The ash pan was overflowing. Made quite the mess when I took it out. I hadn't seen the pan that full since I burned up my last 14 bags of Michigan pellets last season.

Pic is of what was left inside the furnace after I pulled the ash pan.

Broke out the leaf blower and turned day into night. Good thing it was breezy.

I won't burn Ozarks any more.

Not that uncommon to see men 50 to 60 out for a walk or running in boxer shorts. I once told one guy he better watch out because someone might be offended by that, he said they looked like walking shots and no once can tell he difference! Never mind the ones he had, had a panel in the back and a one button fly. His wife agreed with him!!!!! too funny.

Still kinda warm here. Low 40s. Rain coming, then snow. I figured I'd try to clear some snow away from the pole barn door.

I made it down to the level of the late December ice storm and gave up. I figure when more of it melts at least it won't try to flow back into the barn.

Might be able to get the car out of there sometime in June. :(

Wow.. That's insane. We have had some warm temps recently and all but the deepest of spots are thawed and melted.

Moving some wood today.. I have a lot of work to do in the next few months. :(

I'd love to see dirt or grass right now.

Here's a couple more pics. The pile is where the snow from in front of the garage door gets thrown from the snowblower. It shrank a foot or so over the past few days. The other is of my front yard. Still about a foot of snow there.

Second snowiest winter ever in the Grand Rapids metro area. And we're not done yet.

Since I'm uploading pictures like there is no tomorrow, here's another.

They were snowblowing the orchard behind my house so they could get between the rows to prune the trees. Never saw that before.

Same here. Starting to see some areas melted off along the sunny side of the highway, but we are getting more snow tomorrow to cover it back up.

My yard still has 1-3 feet everywhere.

Been nice and warm here for the last few days, I can finally see my boat. But it looks like today is the last of it. Rain turning to ice/sleet and then snow! YUK!!

Looks like I'm dodging yet another bullet here....just some rain later today. Overnight cold w/ a chance for some flurries. Then back to the 40's + on Friday and beyond. Not ready to say winter is 100% over, but it's looking much better.

Stove was off most of the day yesterday, and on On-Off overnight. Love it.
