Glad you still have a job.....
Yessss, I was very happy to get the news on the Virus $$$$

Back a few years when I had my stroke and had to shut down my trucking company we got behind on the property taxes.....been trying to catch back up and that is hard to do.....but the extra $$$$ will certainly help a bunch.

    Yes it is.

I will be honest...I really think that giving all this money away during this crisis is a tad irresponsible fiscally.....but I AM NOT going to turn it down and it will be appreciated....

Anyway.....we can all use extra $$$$$....

    Great happenings.

The half of a Camaro that I bought to get the engine and trans for my Cat went away today.

Engine is sitting in my cat....sub frame went bye bye....and I sold it for more than I paid for the entire package
    Actually made a few $$$$

Now it's not sitting out in the side yard

A free engine and tranny in my kitty cat.....

    So kewl.....

And the fella that got the Sub frame was happy as a clam...

My SO and I decided to use the money solely to support local businesses. For years, businesses are hit up to donate to all sorts of local causes, such as Little League, Girl Scouts, fundraisers, etc. It’s time to give back to them.

Both of our checks also went to local business. Second generation tire shop. New tires on her jeep and my truck. Shop small, shop local.

The part I did not totally agree with,
was the $600 added to the unemployment benefit..
That puts some making more, by not working.
Plus.. you also got the $1200...
I would have preferred the package to make up the difference
between the unemployment, and the usual pay.

Mine is split between 3 local animal charities that have been hard hit because they aren't "essential. These are local only, no ties to the national charities (some of those which are more pocket-lining than charities). Rita, my oldest cat came from one of them and a friend of mine volunteers at another one. I've also donated the savings in gas I've had over the last 2 months, plus already distributed next month's gas savings.

I've taken my car, truck and bike to local, family owned dealer shops for service since 2013, and haven't changed that. Had to get all of them inspected this month.

I don't pay a lot of attention to what goes on in congress, but this scenario came up and was a sticking point during their negotiations. I was surprised when I heard this was passed. I think it only lasts 8 weeks but I may be wrong. If not, they'll never get anyone to go back to work.
