Sound like the flu. My wife has it now. And she didnt think she had a fever either the first day. But when I got home from work she had a temp of 101.4

She's had it since Sunday and is just starting to feel better now.

Get yourself well. Fluids, rest and fever control.

I bought 100 gallons a couple years ago. Might be a good time to buy another 100.

Back on Feb 15th I started feeling crappy...a couple days later I felt better, we did our last shell run.
    About killed me.
That night...chills for 10 minutes then sweat for 20 minutes, then chills...pull the Chupi cat close...then sweat and roast...push kitty away...repeat.....
Then for several days felt horrible, legs and major muscles ache and weak.
I am pretty much over it, save for a bit of sinus drainage and a cough every so often..

    THE CRUD.....

I my highest temp has been 98.8*. No fever, not tired, no aches, no sweating (and no medications of any type taken). I really feel quite good except my chest and only stayed home to because people at work don't like it when "sick" people are there (which I can totally understand - not disparaging them at all).

Got my Census form yesterday and completed it today (online completion). If filled it out as "white" but it wouldn't accept my answer until I filled out the "Ancestry" section. I put United States.

I am not "offended" by the question, just feel that it shouldn't be a required answer.

Yep. We lost 4K this past week. It will rebound in time. Not worried.

About 1/2 the posts on FB in the last two days are people that are at the store, complaining about all the people at the store :picard:.

And on top of that, they complain that the TP is gone (which they only know because they went to buy TP). AND, they tell people to quit panicking and buying "more than their fair share" of TP. But when they do reach a place that has TP, guees what? They buy a couple of the large packages, take pictures and post that they got theirs.

I find it kind of ironic :D

Don't mind me folks, I get my TP by the case and have it delivered, so only buy it every 12-18 months.

I don't understand why people are hoarding in the first place. God I miss the '60's.

I dont understand why they dont. Being quarantined in your house with no food and no toilet paper is not for me. I loaded up in January. No worries for me

I just finished an 11 hour day at the store. I watched idiots who think the world is ending, are afraid of crowds, are standing in a register line with strangers, touching things that hundreds of people have touched, waiting in crowds to buy more tp and household products than they could ever use, buying every food item they can carry in their little germ infested hands. I have news for those people...if the damm flu is going to kill you, all the tp you can carry isn't going to save you. ( thank you, I feel better now)

You bring up a good point. The worst thing you can do if the virus is as bad as some say, is put yourself in a place with hundreds of people in close quarters.

    Hope your feeling better!!

My better half came down with the flu real bad starting last Saturday. Monday had almost 102 fever during the day but it broke Monday night. Tuesday was still bad and over the hump by wednesday night. So far, I've dodged it and stay that way. She is like me where we dont get sick often but when we do, its a doosey.

Stopped at Hannafords in Hampstead on the way to work this morning. They open at 7 and usually when I stop on the way to work at 7 there is usually nobody but me and the workers. Today at 6:58 there was a line at each entrance. I was just there to get some protein bars and Gatorade. Looked down the canned food aisles and most were pretty bare. Stopped at walmart in salem on way home to pick up a script and it was the same there- most canned foods gone.

For some good info on the corona virus watch Joe Rogan's podcast from Tues on YouTube with Michael Osterholm, infectious disease expert. Very informative, presented in a clear, calm manor.

We had the flu here...but it's pretty well gone now....

WE went to the store the other day and discovered the TP run

Normally we buy a large package of the store brand stuff (Safeway Signature) and then we get another when we are down to a couple rolls in each bathroom..

Not now....stocked up with a few modest sized packs and will keep the stock at a reasonable level and not run it down to only a couple rolls.

This mess will go away...and then it will be a different debacle.

Working on the Snow cat yesterday...
One track guide wheel hub had lost it's bearings and came loose...found it in the cab.

The spindle is OK but the seal bore in the hub was badly beat up.

A new seal slips in and out easily :picard:

I had been considering the repair options......Boring out the seal bore and pressing in a sleeve and boring that to original specs....

    A royal pain to do...

The cat forum patrons all offer great help, but finding a used hub was looking :makeitrain"

So I took a good look at the old one....HMMMMMMM ...a number on it.
Ran the number and whoa, up popped a reference to an agricultural trailer hub.

Exact same specs, bearings and seal as my old one.....cross referenced the number and found a replacement on ebay....$45 and free shipping.

Gonna wait until it gets here and check it out well..

Then likely buy another new one for the other side of that axle and keep the original as a spare.

But I hate being told "Ya gotta buy one for a snow cat" BS NO WAY....

Luckily there are no others that are trashed.
I will tear all of them apart and check, clean and replace the bearings/ seals as needed.

Once the tracks are back on, the guide wheels are not easy to work on (Gotta drop the tracks)

    I want things tip top..

This morning was a STOVE KIND OF MORNING.
My renter that rents our downstairs apartment texts me "My place is cold"

    I run down...yup sure enough....stove was cold.

The fire pot was loaded with a big clinker and the fire box had a ton of ash.

Dropped the clinker out and hit the fire pot and fire box with the big shop vac

Sucked out the ashes and washed the windows....Kicked the Quad 1000 in the butt and within a minute....we got fire...

Cleaned our little Whitfield this afternoon and got it on line.

Snow this morning and more later tonight.
We had maybe an inch on the ground earlier today.

Maybe up to 3 inches by Sat afternoon..

    Spring is coming.....

My brother had same experience at Market Basket at 7 am as he always shops there Friday morning. No paper products, no frozen veggies, no pasta, no canned goods.

So he got cookies, ice cream bars, a pie and other treats.

He then stopped a Tuckaway Tavern butcher shop to pick up a steak and only a few people in there-go figure. Women comes in, announces that she ordered online and does not to "be in here". Those "in there" looked at her like she was :wacky:
