If it is black and sticky it is creosote. You likely have an air deficit or are overfeeding fuel. It is hard to get this situation with a Harman but it is possible talk to LW.

Yup... the performance to price ratio makes them a good deal (IMO).

Thats what I thought at the time.

Changed feed rate, checked air passages-all OK. Different pellets didnt have the issue. I was thinking maybe a resin in the pine? Who knows.

I don't have any issues with my regular pellets or other middling pellets, so I stay with them. My P61a just is not usually fond of the "better" pellets.

Another day in my illustrious career at Pfizer (cynical) but had some good time spent with the architect on record and solved some issues as she came up from Philly for a visit.
Wife was feeling horrible went to urgent care and tested positive for influenza type A so she is miserable and I am doing my best to make her comfortable as possible along with hoping I don't get it !
Having a cocktail before I take care of the remaining chores including the wife's chores but early to bed tonight as I am worn out. Look forward to possibly a weekend and heck maybe even a long weekend as it is a Union holiday on Monday but not all of our Subs are Union actually three are not, someone will have to cover .

I am not allowed to take pictures at the site as it violates policy but got to thinking heck the model is not really a picture so here is a section / cut through the model but it is only at 60% coordination but will give you an idea of the amount of MEP it takes to run a Pharma manufacturing facility , crazy chit as all the architectural features are turned off in this section and you can only see a few of the tanks 25 in all and some as much as 7000 gallons along with 10 skids, a bunch of autoclaves , massive pits to pump out the PLW(Process liquid waste) and CIP (Clean in Place)waste from manufacturing. This is a cut through one of the Suites and there are 2 massive suites.

    Hope all are well

Got home last night to a cold stove as the Matras funneled on me. Meh, another side effect of some pellets (pine) just like Vermont and 802 did.

But it gave me a chance to do a quick cleaning. The ash came right off everything, nice and easy.

Luneyburg , I did find the ash on the sidewalls was more whiteish than the black it looked like while burning.

bogieb , I generally wouldn't remove the ash pan at this point but wanted to check it out. A bit of buildup, but again easy cleaning-overall not bad.

Funneling would be an issue on my P68 as once it starts (about 5-7 bags in) it doesnt stop till I change brands. I guess I could mix if needed.

Overall These Matras are the real deal

Yes, my office computer had the pipes screensaver. Sadly I am guilty of watching it way more that I should have!

You had a Gateway? My first Intel box was an Insight 33 mhz i386dx. That was like my 7th system.

Believe it or not I have some DEC alpha’s arriving in a couple weeks. Needed to support some legacy product they have to develop for.

Spent 1.5 hours chopping ice and shoveling it off the driveway. It has been ice covered since last Friday and then got several small snows on top of it this week.

Oh yeah, and all that physical labor was was after all the snow blowing to get rid of the 5" of snow we got this morning. I believe I'm going to be a bit sore tomorrow and everyone at work will have to hear me whine about it :emb:
