    The 66 F or the upper 20's F ?????
WE try to keep it about 70 F in the house.
We can see the weather dip into the single digits, but its not a regular thing.
20's are common and even a few teens tossed in.

30's F are very common withe some snow.
Being not that far inland from the coast we get reasonable weather.
We are located only about 30 miles as the crow fly's from the Columbia River Gorge and that changes the game big time.

If we get an Arctic air mass that slides in east of the Cascade Mt's and the cold air pours out of the gorge it gets cold and then we can get the moisture coming in off the coast and then things get interesting.

    Ice, Snow, sleet....all the above.

They have a brew pup and winery in my town 2 miles away and they are getting their spirits permit. :)/ Also a great regional brewery called Tree House is going to be coming into our town, at one time the little MA brewery had the best IPA in the world.

66 F in the house is just a tad bit cool for my liking ...

    70 F is "More Gooder"

We have competition here so glasses are fairly inexpensive. Depending on the frame, photo lense, progressive lense and scratch protection for $60-$100. With your prescribtion and some measurements you can go online and get them for half that. I tried that and got really good glasses and frame. Now I just go to the VA . I am service connected so my glasses cost nothing to me. I can get them fixed or replaced easily,

Today's agenda was shopping for a tub and surround. :makeitrain"

The sub floor was rotted and the tub settled. Cracked the brass drain, Did a temporary patch a couple of weeks ago. But its time, Seeing I have the next full week off, I'll be starting our 1 and only bathroom remodel. Tear out starts tomorrow AM..........

    Wish me luck!!

My other half is a vet...gets all medical and such through the local VA clinic

We have a lot of different outfits that offer optical services...but the prices are about the same.
Sales from time to time do make for fair deals.

Doing the same thing, J. Just not my only bathroom. My last kid flew the coop and now for the first time in about 20 years I was able to work on the bathroom they all used and abused for 20 years +/-. I had an old plastic surround, plenty of mildewy silicone sealing it, etc. Tore it all out and used cement board around the tub/shower, then tiled with white subway tile. Tore out the toilet, fixed all walls, replaced all fixtures, repainted everything. Absolutely amazing how much work it is. I'm in the last stretch right now, re-plumbing the toilet and sink (finished the shower) , putting in new light fixtures and switches and GFCI outlets, etc. Hope to have that all done by the end of today after I leave work at 1:30. Then need to scour the tub and tile floor with comet to clean residues off, etc.

Just a huge amount of work.

    Agreed!!

Demo seems to be the easy part. 2hrs and old tub is out. Cleaning up the mess before the sub floor gets torn out!!
