Looking good. Only thing I think the Gators have going for them compared to those is that the Gators have sharp tips....more shredding action. I use the G5 version.

Both flues cleaned and stoves are ready to burn. Was waiting for a cold morning, got up bright and early, and the roof was covered with frost! Had to wait a couple of hours for it to melt as the sun came up, before safely getting up there.

Also completed round 3 of leaf cleanup. Most maple leaves are down now. That storm earlier in the week made many leaves fall. Next three rounds of cleanup will be when the oaks drop theirs.

No leaf gathering here trees are still loaded but there is a ton on the ground that will have to stay there for a while, back and shoulder are not up for it. Working mad hours again but am going for a 4 day trip to Nashville which I have never been to . Brother and his wife coming up from FLA to meet myself my wife my sister and her husband to spend a few days in Nashville. So I have to get healthy enough to do a lot of walking which has been going to the chiropractor and massage therapist and trying not to be the idiot I am and just laying low.

Grabbed a ton of Vermonst last Monday as I took the day off after working the previous Saturday and Sunday the week before. Wife and I jumped in the truck and headed up to Hampton for a nice lunch and grabbed some Vermont's on the way back .

Grabbed a 3900x and new video card for my main rig and after a painful bios / software fiasco I have it up and running perfect but not without trials and tribulation. I did not get a new motherboard as it is not required(AM4 socket backwards compatible Ryzen 3 after bios updates 5 of them) but am sure it would have been a heck of a lot easier but they are ridiculously expensive and this X470 board is not very old.

Stove is running ok just have not had time really work on it but its keeping the chill out of the house . Replaced the ESP and that seemed to help a little bit .

    Hope all are well

Gave the P43 its first cleaning for the season. The ash pan was about 3/4 full, so it was time. Nice calm day and a bit of sun so going to take the bike out for a short ride to get the battery fully charged.

Never thought of that.. I think I will sharpen mine..
I don't recall the "brand" I have, but it was yellow..
Looks the same as that, otherwise.. Maybe it was a gator,
    I just do not recall..

Anyone have a recent enough Harman that includes the "whisper" function? If yes, how whisper like is it? Any gotcha's, like whisper only works on low/do nothing setting and ramps up into a jet engine, or is it actually quiet?

The layout for my place is difficult, and with where we might put the woodstock stoves we liked we don't seem to have the clearances without making it like an elephant in the room. Thinking that if I go with a new Harman freestanding I get OAK capability(which I can't get with my current, as it's very central to the house. would be a 30' run for an OAK...) and I get the fireplace back so we get the wood aspect when we want.

Just remembered seeing this after we had the skunk discussions awhile back. Supposedly a great smell remover:

    - 1 Qt. 3% Hydrogen peroxide
    - 1/2 cup baking soda
    - 1 teaspoon liquid soap (Dawn).

Do not wet animal before hand. Mix, put in spray bottle, spray on til wet, rub dry with towels.

Over the years here at the ranch we have had many encounters with SKUNKS

The old stand by TOMATO JUICE was always on hand.

Tried the various concoctions that come and go.

Currently most Farm stores sell an enzyme based spray that does a very good job of getting rid of the odor...

I have used it on a couple of dogs and the side of the house where DA SKUNK hosed while getting the dog....

    Good stuff....

    Several brands to choose from......

It sounds like all it does is shut the distribution blower down .
