    Hey Doggy..
Definitely a good haul on that one.
Try a bag and see if you like them.... if not put them on Craig's List for a really good price and then get some of your fav stuff...

Just 40 F outside this morning...

Ran wee stove all night, but when I crawled out a few minutes ago the shack was just barely at 69 F and that was within 15 feet of the stove in the dining room.

The family room was not cozy at all.

Fired off the big Whitfield and shut the wee stove off..

Will see what things feel like later on after it gets light out.

May be able to shut the Big stove off and shoulder on with the little dude.

Tonight the forecast says we will be in mid 30's F

I think today's task is gonna be to unhook the outside hose at the pump shack (Filling horse water tanks) and make sure the electric heater is ready to go.....

Summer ain't coming back anytime soon...

Would not surprise me to see a rough winter this year...

Thanks for the link Steve. I'm going to order it as well as the fan just in case. I'm thinking I could probably get the fan off using a small tip on my oxy acetylene torch. Worth a try!

The micro pencil-type butane torches are perfect for these kinds of heating projects.....very small, hot flame. We use them in the race shop a lot.

BTW, the site was down again this morning, and is VERY slow/sluggish right now. I'm sure Grizzly Adam is all over the problem. :)

    The connection has timed out

The server at firewoodhoardersclub.com is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

There was no dns entry for this url. I use 8.8.8.8 for dns and tested a few times. nslookup wouldn’t return any ip associations with this domain.

    Glad it’s working now.

I had sketchy connect here on Saturday

Yesterday was a no show all day and up until I went to bed.

Glad the site is back up.

    Sounds like a server issue....

Got busy yesterday and started counting up all the barrels of shells..... we have...
a total of 83 barrels available.
Looks like 30 are empties (Last year we got a slug of empties locally $0 so we grabbed them)

We had 16 barrels of material that we hauled in a few years back and had it stored in the back of the outbuilding.
This stuff is much smaller material than what we get after crushing the 1/2 shell in "Munchy"

I decided to start dragging out the old stuff and use it up.

I poured a bucket of this old stuff in the big stove.

    OMG.
After it got up the auger and into the fire the heat went through the roof.

I had the stove on low and the heat was incredible.

The vent temp at 18" to the rear of the stove is normally 150 F but had crawled up to 210 F WOW

I had the auger ON time set at 3 seconds on and even at the lowest heat setting of 7 seconds off the fire was H O T

Decided to tweak the ON TIME back to 2 seconds feeding..

    Much better
Temps dropped back to where I like to see it.

Once we burn that stuff up I will reset the ON time to 3 seconds....which works great with the "Munchy" crushed product

We will probably never see any more of the finer graded materials as this came from the old plant....

Sure puts out the heat though....
