I had an MRI on my back last week because the pain level increased dramatically and started going down my leg. I got the results today and am now the proud owner of 3 ruptured discs. Next stop is the spine specialists in Portland. I guess I won't be hauling pellets into the basement any more.

I'm so sorry sub. Hopefully they can do something for your pain in the meanwhile. Do you have a furnace to use in place of pellets?

Was 46 last night. Had the bedroom window open with the exhaust fan upstairs running. Great sleeping weather with a warm bed full of cats.

I used some light stuff to avoid the "normal" stomach issues, lactose free stuff works.

I have a furnace but still plan on burning pellets. I just need to get a little creative.

Be vert careful whom you let touch your back. My bother and sister inlaws both have back issues, had surgery, then couldn't walk upright. They walk at a 45 degree angle. So, did surgery help. Depends on how you look at it. Do a lot of reading. When I was doing home care, it was about 50/50 who was better off. My brother had a really invasive back surgery. He came out of it ok. Is the VA taking care of you?
