1 am this morning I woke up to a very heavy dose of skunk smell. I got up ans shut off the window fans but the stench was so strong I just dozed in and out until it was time to get up. By that time the outdoors didn't smell like skunk anymore so I turned on all the fans and opened windows to air out the place until I left for work.

Before I left for work, Spot managed to turn on the kitchen sink faucet for the portable dishwasher. Unfortunately the dishwasher wasn't hooked up, the faucet was turned and was over the counter, so there was a minor flood in the kitchen. Thank goodness I was home and it only went on for a couple of minutes. Took some time, and several bath towels to get most of the water up. Turned the faucet back to being over the sink (its normal position since Spot did the exact same think last winter).

10.5 hours at work without any time off for lunch (did eat, but it was hurried and hectic).

Got home and the house still reeks of skunk inside. Not as bad as this morning, but would much rather it had the smell of roses or lilies!

Not what I would call a stellar day, but if that's the worst the universe can throw at me right now, I'm doing just fine.

Side effects of that stuff is horrid. For me, my feet would swell to twice their normal size. I wasn't able to find any boots that would fit my ankles in. I still have edema at 5 mg but much less. The price of that was another bp pill, take two, three times daily. I'm still dizzy much of the time. I take huge doses of Labetalol, max dose of Valsartan, Amlodipine 5 mg, and Hydralazine. Also furosemide twice daily. These are not my only daily pills. So many of them have warnings of dizziness etc. I only have to walk 25 to 50 feet before my BP goes up to 170/115 and be very short of breath.

I spent the day waiting for the post office to round up a package that "was" left in my mailbox "not".

The left over from the little "Chemical Cats" is nasty for sure.

We get them here once in a while too...thankfully we do not have any outdoor dogs to provoke a bombing.

Lots of fresh air to make it fade....

Had a woodpecker working on the pellet vent yesterday morning. Turned the stove on and he took off.

Amazon day is about to end. I wasn't able to find anything on my list that was on sale with a savings that would warrant buying today. I was looking at an office chair for $114. While looking at it, the price jumped up to $200. Bummer on that!
Better news, my electronic car key went through the washer. At 2 AM it sat off the car alarm. What a heck of a time trying to find that key. disconnected the battery and left it for daylight. Then went to a hardware store that advertised electronic keys. The clerk look at it, took it apart, cleaned it up, new battery for the key and it was like new again. $7 to fix it. two year ago we had two keys replaced by a key man for the same reason. Only I paid $260 for those two keys. I still have the failed key so I plan to open them up and do what that clerk did and see if I can get them going. Extra keys are always good to have.

I am so sick of the freakin' skunks...
If they aren't digging up the lawn, they are spraying because of the dogs in the neighborhood.
I am REALLY thinking of shelling out the 65 bucks for that highly rated trap...
I already own the 32 gallon garbage can..
