Both stoves going now. The basement got too cold so I turned it on and is set at 64*. Better be the last burn for the season for that stove. Main floor stove bringin it back up to 69* after I set the thermostat back to 67* this morning. Maybe sun tomorrow?

look at it this way you could be dealing with the tornados and hail storms we are getting from the heat and humidity.

Yeah, I am very thankful we aren't getting the more severe weather nor getting the sheer amount of rain others are getting!

Just checked the status on the new meter for the stove panel.....tracking says it's at the post office about an hour ago.

I will be able to get it in a couple hours and install it today....

I can do the final testing and then maybe get the controller hooked up to the stove in a day or two... :ups:

Still waiting for a roll of high temp silicone jacketed wire (600v 200 C ...very flexible)

Most appliance rated wire is waaaaaaay too stiff....

We are back in AC weather for a few days now, but we will likely see a few mornings off and on that we will need a fire.

I have wanted to wait until stove season was over before digging into these beasts....

    My meters showed up...

Package looked fine...One white soft bag with two separate bags inside.

All packed well in bubble wrap.

No signs of damage at all.

GET THE METERS OUT ON THE TABLE AND NOT SO NICE

The first one has the bezel busted and a chunk inside floating around.

Open the second one and the rear face with the studs is SMASHED with one stud all bent over.

    ARRRRRRRRGH
The bezel on the one with the smashed body was good.
I swapped the bezels and at least have one that works.

Sent the seller an email (ebay) and pictures.

I told him if he sends me one new one that's not smashed I will not sweat it and feedback will be A++

I am suspect that these suckers were damaged on their was from across the pond.
They were each in sealed bags with Chinese labels.

    Arrrrrrrrgh

I got a quick response from the seller on the meters.

He does not have any more meters...but offered to refund on the one that was total junk.

    I'm good.

Panel is now complete and the meter reads pretty good.

Not real sure how accurate these are...but they give a good way to adjust the booster portion of they provide to the fire pot.

I checked them against my VOM ....UHM...SO SO, but they do repeat well.

A lot of two party deliveries these days, plenty of chances for screw-ups.

Mine went from AZ to KY instead of here.
Similar here, when UPS hands off to USPS. And the USPS here is extremely inconvenient, 20 miles away, then choice of stairs or ramp before 3 sets of double doors.

Below are overdue, this message tonight.

Kiddo bought the lego kit with her own money, poor kid. That and yooperdave recently ordered from Amazon and his package was late too! That and they offered him a gift card that did not show up on his account. Yikes, whats up ?

If you signup / or have a UPS My Choice account - on some shipments you can "upgrade" to have UPS complete the delivery, for an extra $ 3.50. It's come in handy here, on time-critical parts recently.
