Although it was dark, gloomy and cool all day, no rain. So I was optimistic that I would get to mow the neighbor's lawn tonight. 6 miles from home it started raining :picard:.

There are currently 5 subtypes floating around so quad-valent may or may not been of any use depends upon what ya catch.

Sort of like the newmony shots there are many forms that float around not all are covered by the normal 13-valent shots out there so the shots are always a crap shoot.

WE have had very unseasonably HOT weather since late April with temps in the high 80's F and 90 F for two days.

This morning was the first fire in a couple weeks.

    Rain she be a coming.....
We decided to see about getting a load of shells today and got the GO AHEAD from the plant manager and we saddled up and hit the road...

Another 10 barrels in the books.

Rain until the end of the month the weather dudes are sayin...

Plant going to run until mid June... Likely get one more load....because we can...

Hey Snowy - Did you see these nice vids on getting 3 phase power into your workshop?
I put 20 amp and 50 amp 220 VAC in mine, but 3 phase would be good for a nice metal lathe or a BridgePort or welder?
    3 types of implementation

    Install

    The 2.99 Senior Special:

A couple went to breakfast at a restaurant where the 'senior special' was
two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $2.99.
'Sounds good,' the woman said. 'But I don't want the eggs..'
Then, I'll have to charge you $3.49 because you're ordering a la carte,'
    the waitress advised her.
'You mean I'd have to pay for not taking the eggs?'
    'YES!' stated the waitress..
'I'll take the special then,' the woman said..
'How do you want your eggs?' the waitress asked.
'Raw and in the shell, the woman replied.
She took the two eggs home and used them in a cake.
    Don't mess with the seniors!!

I have a "Rotophase" that runs the lathe and the mill.

There isn't 3 phase available in the area, and when I bought the machines I had no choice.

The Rotophase uses a 3 phase motor (Shaft cut off) and a cabinet with some big capacitors to start the 3 phase motor on just 2 phases....

The 3rd winding in the units motor provides the 3rd leg to the machines.

I can reverse on the fly (Tapping and cutting threads etc. when fast reverse is needed)

The "electronic converters" are OK as are the Capacitor bank type units but they do not really give you a real 3 phase power.

The rotophase is very close to the real deal in that all three power legs to the motor being run are hot.

Even the Rotophase units can fail, as they have capacitors, a large relay to energize the system and a of course the shaftless 3 phase motor that acts like a generator for the 3rd leg.

Good stuff if you want/need bigger machines....

My welders are 240 single phase and are fine, as is my air compressor.

    Fun stuff...

Put together an Un-edited Video of a flight over my town, was a bit windy not to bad but this was one of the first flights I had made so if you get motion sickness don't view this :)
Will get it soon and try to find some time to edit the capture as this flight was mainly to capture stills and unfortunately youtube processed / encoded it down to 1080 P from 4K .
Ill learn soon and figure it out , check it out for fun and some pretty cool cloud formations .
