Hope you set them away from each other. I can't have them within 15 ft of another hummingbird feeder, they fight like crazy. Very territorial.

These folks are really good to deal with, at least, they have been very good to me. Look at the area they are covering.

Yesterday was absolutely georgeous... some puffy white clouds, a light breeze and about 70 F
Rolled Munchy outside on the slab and went after the final modification of the list of things I had been working on. *** Build and install an adjustable positive stop on the anvil assembly to allow quick clearing of a jam and then reset to desired position***

Add new hopper top X DONE
Weld the belt guard bolt heads to hopper X DONE
New positive stop added X DONE

Been thinking about a cool little CUSTOM DECAL for the side of the hopper.

I have had some ideas and currently the idea that has stuck is "A Gray Squirrel sitting with a hazelnut in his paws and a pile of shells on the ground.

Under the Squirrel would be "Munchy Pro" in Text
Room enough to make the decal 8 inch diameter and place it on the side of the hopper opposite the belt guard.

Should give the machine a real "Pro look"

We have a good friend that works in a graphics studio/shop and can whip stuff like this up in a heartbeat.

Found the piccy in this link... Google Image Result for https://previews.123rf.com/images/scooperdigital/scooperdigital1110/scooperdigital111000015/10927532-portrait-of-a-grey-squirrel-eating-hazelnuts-in-autumn.jpg

    OH YESSSSSSSS
    Gonna have fun.

Here are pics of the finishing "mechanical touches"

    The positive stop arrangement....
    The Munchy Wrench
    The Munchy Wrench hanger.

I was out and about and stopped and picked up a cheapy 1-1/8" box end wrench for the machine...that can stay with the machine.

Need a place to hang said wrench....

    Hmmmmm

A bolt will work, but it's not real secure.

Snooped through the crap on the bench and stumbled onto one of the Spring keepers from the garage door balance spring that broke this winter....sitting in with some other junk....

Snooped about and found a little piece of aluminum round with a little flange on it....sweeeeeeet... stuck it in the lathe and drilled it through the center to allow a 1/4" bolt to pass through.

Drilled the leg of the machine and bolted the gizmo on...

Wrench goes on fine and will not rattle off. (Requires a little lifting to get it off)

Design work continues on the side decal.
Found the perfect squirrel.... piled some shells on a 55 gallon lid and flattened the top of the pile.

    Snapped a piccy.

A little photo shop with put the squirrel on top of the pile....

MUNCHY...Pro in an Arch above the squirrel.

    GOTTA HAVE SOME FUN...

We have Hummers pretty much year round.

During the cold snowy weather they were AWOL, but I don'y blame them.

Almost any decent day the little creatures are here...

    Hey Larry (savemoney )

I know you had the combustion blower replaced on the P68. What were your symptoms?

I am still trying to diagnose the fire bricks getting black on low burns. Both gaskets have been changed and still doing it so I am wondering about comb blower.

Stupid question - have you tried a different pellet? Your pellets may not like to burn on low. I've had that happen before, where they were fine with a decent burn but not with a low. Usually only happens in the P61 since it is more likely to cycle for a short time and never really get to a full bore burn.

Yesterday morning I took the truck in for the work it needed to pass inspection - should be good for another year. I stopped at Aubuchon's and picked up 12 bags of cedar mulch figuring I would cover up some of the flower beds I had raked out last week (mulch was on sale three 3 cu/ft bags for $10). Well, I got them unloaded onto a pallet and started looking at that bed and realized: 1) the winds had brought more leaves, 2) there were a lot of weeds coming up, 3) the ground is still very mucky/soupy. So, I cleaned out the leaves and weeded. Decided to let the bed dry out more before mulching.

By late morning, the leaves had dried out from the stiff breeze so mowed them into mulch for the lawn. Afterward, I gathered up a load of branches and took them to the dump. Then I started clearing out one area that I have been smothering poison ivy in. 3 years ago (I thought it was 2, but pic below was taken 6/2016) I covered a couple of areas with plastic (pellet bags), then heavy landscape fabric, then wood mulch. BTW - now there is a green tent garage about 5' behind that rock wall

    poison ivy cover.jpg

I raked off all the decomposing mulch, filled about 5 pellet bags with the plastic / fabric, then started filling bags with the old wood mulch. I got side tracked pulling all the vines from Virginia Creeper that had sprung up thru the rock wall . That stuff is invasive and just barely better than PI - only because it doesn't cause a reaction. I didn't finish bagging up the mulch, but got about 2/3 of it taken care of so was happy.

Took that all to the dump this morning; wood mulch & vines went to the lumber pile (they grind it into free mulch for townies), and bags of plastic/fabric went to the transfer station. Got back just as it was turning from mist to rain. Now it is pouring out and rain is supposed to go until tomorrow. Looks like my outdoor work is done for the week.
