What happened? Got gas Sunday afternoon and it was $2.25/gallon (in my town). It has been that price for probably 10 days. Got gas today at the same place and it was up to $2.35/gallon. I wish I had noticed the price at the place I normally stop about 20 miles from me - they are usually about 10 cents cheaper but I didn't see if they had raised prices too. I actually pulled into the cheaper place to get gas but all the pumps were taken except one - and it had a yellow no workee bag over it so decided to just travel on.

Well, I think I figured out why gas prices went up so suddenly - MA schools are out for the week so this is tourist week.

The traffic last Saturday was heavy heading north off the Spaulding to Rte 11. It took a while to click until we noticed that most were Mass plates

We have had some Astros...currently have a 97 RWD .. Not great in the slick stuff, but a great little rig for an extra set of wheels when needed.

I would love to have another Astro/Safari AWD

These are just really handy rigs, and fun to drive.

We bought an 07 Avalanche back in September and it's a nice ride.

When the Snow comes though we grab the old 95 Burb 2500 4x4
I am not interested in letting some idiot in a little missile crash into the Avy.

I wanted a 3/4 ton Avy with the 8.1 engine, but they are tough to find and $$$$$$$ if you find a good one.

Our 07 has the 5.3 engine.

Not a rocket ship but quite nice to drive.

Mileage is about 14 up and down the Mt to town and such...maybe 17 hwy.

I wanted the Cadillac EXT pickup, but $$$$$$ more and just could not locate one close that was in the price range.

The 6.2 engine and the AWD makes those a real sweet heart to drive..

    Ahhhh yesss...fun stuff

I think I have finally found the perfect car for me. I recently bought a 2007 Honda Element. I was looking for a good dog car that can double as a truck. I've always like the flexibility of the Elements. The back seats come right out and the interior is big enough for full sheets of plywood. Last weekend I brought my old Baby, a rollaway tool box and a snowblower to my sons house. I had room to spare.

Picked up another rationed batch of 10. They are almost seamless with my LeCrete’s, if I don’t make an adjustment they still burn well. Any idea what the pre season price is/was?

The wifey still regrets selling ours...err...hers. She loved it, I loved selling it for thousands over the best book value. It really worked well for us here on the farm. Good Luck with it.

If you have a AWD unit make sure you change the differential fluid prior to the 60k intervals the book spec’s and only use Honda’s Fluid ! You’ll hear a shuddering noise if you don’t.

TSC usually sends a $25 off / ton coupon August / September . They tend to keep their prices close to the other BB stores .

Do they mail it or email it? I believe I had declined receiving emails.

Mine came in the mail , I don't get emails either . It was a few years ago that I picked up a pre-season ton , so I may not be on their mailing list anymore , I can't remember if I got a coupon this year .

I remember pulling into a service station early on during our 5 month saga and assuming I had a good plan for entry and exit while towing the camping trailer. As I pulled up to the outside pump, it was bagged also. So I pulled a wide U turn and pulled up towards the pump closest to the building again the yellow bag. I got out and looked at the which pumps were actually working.....#*@(#(-//$#)#). I would’ve have just left at this point but I would’ve had to of back tracked several mile...kilometers to find another station. So I always delay my turn in, sometimes feeling it’s obnoxious, before bringing my 50 foot truck trailer rig into a station. 22,000 miles later we didn’t have another issue.

Probably more cause the price of crude is $56/barrel. Every place on Rt 111 from Kingston to Salem went from $2.12 to $2.19 today.

I don't think they really change their prices - they are usually $5.19/bag and I think ton price is 5% less. But, during the fall, I got 10% off coupons from their Family & Friends club so ended up paying somewhere around $220/ton. I pre-bought 3 tons and they stored them for me until I was ready to pick some up.

    I paid $5.49 a bag. I would also be very happy paying $220 a ton, La Crete’s are $300.00 a ton.

The remaining parts for the new control showed up in the mail today and I quickly installed them ( See the two lockable pots between the meters)
Decided that lockable pots were far better since once the stuff is adjusted to suit there will be little need to mess with them. (Keep grand kids from tweaking stuff)

Hooked up a set of actual fans and a light to fill in for the feed motor so I can start testing.

I need a small toggle switch to temporarily plug in to the two leads that connect to the low limit switch.

I can set the timer circuit to the same amount of time as the factory start up timer and when that runs out just flip the switch to simulate the closing of the low limit snap.

I can't find a switch in my goodies... gonna have to get one tomorrow I guess..

    I am excited.....:D

Same here. They usually do the $25 off trick starting in late July / early Aug and anyone can get that deal - no special coupon required, you can just pickup the flyer right in the store. The price comes out to be around $235 here. Then like b said you can also use the 10% off your entire purchase coupon - you have to be signed up for the Neighbor's Club emails to get these. It pretty much comes out to be the same price. It's rare, but sometimes they do a 15% off coupon as well. Something I noticed in the past two weeks, TSC stores around here just went up on their price. It's been $5.19/bag for ages and they just increased to $5.49/bag.
