Yeah, after experiencing the heated steering wheel in the new Focus, I cuss every time I get in the truck and have to put my gloves on for the first 20 minutes :picard:

Been thrashing more on the new stove panel...

I have been searching for some 4 and 6 position terminal blocks and the jumpers to make them "common rail"

The jumpers seem to be elusive as all get out and the ones I found are on Ebay and its a China seller (A month to get here)

I have a buttload of 4 place blocks but could not find any jumpers...
    Then had an idea.

Took a block, removed the screws on one side, tossed it in the mill and cut out the center dividers.
Reinstall the screws and then add two strips of 14 ga copper wire under the screws and then tighten the screws... yesssssssssssssssssss

I have several bus bars that must be common rail and be compact as well.

Primary main bus (Starting point for power)

Transfer bus ( Feeds power to the relays, timers and allows feed from startup timer and then from a relay after the low snap closes)

    Neutral bus

L1 bus (Allows multiple access to the main power fuse)

Keeping things compact and neat is a must do, as the box is not gonna handle any extra crap...

The heat control system requires that the timer relay have a resistor across two of the terminals at any one time....

These need to be from 200K ohms to 700K and selectable with a rotary switch.

I had planned on a resistor block with 6 resistors, all of which would connect to a common wire on one side the connects to one resistor terminal on the timer and individually to the switch and the from the switch common to the other resistor terminal on the timer.

I had planned on setting these in potting compound and making them a neat block.

NO WAY to repair it if one resistor dies.

Decided to use a pair of terminal blocks and placing the resistors across the terminals.

One block is set up as a common rail and the other is not.

Easy replacement of resistors (OR to change timing values)

100K ohms is 1 second between auger on cycles
700K ohms is 7 seconds between auger on cycles
The auger on time is controlled by a pot on the timer (Set at about 2.5 seconds or so)

    FUN FUN FUN

Had to add air to the tires of the new Focus. The old focus psi was 32, I think all of my SUVs have needed 35 psi. The new Focus needs 38!?!?!?! I checked the label on the car pillar and online just in case there was a weird typo (don't laugh, those types of things happen to me). Well, I guess I know why the TSP light went off yesterday morning on my way to work - they were all below 35.

Don't forget... with the temps as low as they were, that could account for 2#........

Well yeah, I know - not surprising that they were low, I was more shocked at the high PSI they require.

This is awesome. I was never good at building electronics, only repairing existing. Things like old tube radios and whatnot I've played with.

    I get that....

The manufactures of the various relays and timers are really good about spec'ing out whats needed when it comes to the resistors and such.

They give you all the various Math equations and stuff to make it easy.

Just a matter of deciding what you need to do, when you need to do it and for how long.

The rest of this stuff is basic wiring 101..... fan speed controllers and some cool lights to let you know what is happening and when it happens.

On off switches and such area all basic stuff too...

Some power relays to handle the current, fuses for the fans and feed motor.

A big RED start button BECAUSE I CAN
