Push came to shove...and it was a hard one.

Needed to clean the big Whit this morning and so it started.

I shut down at 8:30 and let her cool.

After she shut off I tried a restart and the fans all spooled up fine..

Did a deep clean and an LBT

Went to start up and the room blower would only GROWL and rumble.

I had picked up a couple stand alone fan speed controls at a shop over town...since I needed to be close it made since to go there...

Tore the side panel off and drilled a hole in the panel and mounted the fan control.

Marked and clipped off the original plug from the motor.

Crimped on some standard insulated spade terminals and the made a couple jumper wires.

The factory BUSS BAR had extra terminals on the L1 and the Neutral ... so easy plug and play

Finished up the changes and Punched the GO BUTTON.

The draft fan spooled up as it should and sounded fine, I slid the feed switch to on and the feed motor cycled as it should... next I grabbed the new control knob.... JOY

The blower fan spooled right up and went to work.

Nice and smooth as it should be.

Tossed in some pellets, hit them with the torch and within seconds had a lovely fire.

NO WHA WHA NOISES EITHER .

Been running about 3 hours now.

This patch should keep the old girl going until I can get the new box complete and tested.

I very well may see about sending the old panel in to get it fixed.

    Never hurts to have spares...

Weather gonna get crappy by Thursday and we absolutely can not do without the BIG BOY.

The 1/4" threads and wing nuts on the side panel are where the new panel mounts.

Just for the general crowd, made it official yesterday.....moving truck finally left at about 3PM yesterday. We're officially a southern boy with his southern dog. And the best part.....I didn't have to deal with the 6-8" of white chit they had back in NY.......sn*w shovel is just leaning against the garage wall. :dex:

Got home the wife was still at work so I tended to the chores: fill the pellet bin with 4 bags(mix of DF,Matra's,and Logik-E softwood) filled the P43 filled the P68 fed the feral cat, fed and walked the dog and the inside cat, wrote some checks for bills and am finally sitting down sipping on some Tito's. Harmans are shifting into overdrive as its gonna be a cold few days and downright chilly nights. Been loading the Okie ashinums in the P43 and no funneling at all today as it was down to almost empty.

Digging in hard at work trying to figure out how to make happen what Pfizer wants to happen in the time frame they want it to happen so the brains working 24/7 and that means its a chore to sleep as its really difficult to shut it down enough to sleep. After demo we will be building a manufacturing plant that will produce product/ingredient that will be shipped to North Carolina to create a medicine that Cures not treats a form of Juvenile MS which afflicts over 6 k children worldwide. This will eradicate the disease from the face of the Earth and cure all the Children that are afflicted by this disease. Thus this is the reason for the timeline of getting this built and operational as there are other big Pharma out there who are on path with a similar medicine. It is exciting as I during the job interview watched a child of 7 years of age who was trying to make it up stairs but could not make it up even one stair as the atrophy was so severe because of the disease he could barely move or function . Then they showed us a video of him after treatment with the drug we are building the facility to create the key ingredient of and he was actually running up the stairs, granted it was noticeable that he had recovered from some type of ailment and his muscle development was still in progression but he literally Ran up the stairs, quite moving and motivational for me even though I am not a proponent of big Pharma and drugs in general .

Made plans for not this Saturday but the following to attend a Bruins game sitting in a box/suite complements of our Demolition Subcontractor. Should be fun time and should take the edge off for at least one day which is welcome for sure. Almost all of the company including the wives and significant others will be attending as I think the box holds 18 folks and I have gone to work for a small company and that will hold us all. I am a Blackhawk's fan at heart but can root for the Bruins for a night should be a fun time.

Hope all are well and those in the Upper Midwest hope you find a way to stay warm along with us in the East that will not have to deal with the intense cold weather that you do but it will be cold enough that I hope everyone stays warm .

    Slacker! :D

Had 6+ inches of fluffy white chit. Shoveled a little before the trip in adventure. Un-eventful as the roads were dandy. Side roads were a bit slick, But once I slide down da hill. All clear and a steady 60 mph ride in. Hoping the kid does the rest of the shoveling, Might not have classes today?? Nothing planned for this evening, So if he can't, I'll get the blower out to clean up the rest.

Got to learn him how to use da blower sn*wer thingy dohicky contraption.........

I was wondering how you made out JT. We got less than half an inch of snow here and then it rained so it turned into slush and then it turned into ice. Not enough to shovel or plow. Secondary roads are a little slippery this morning. The hopper is loaded up with Vermonts. Stay warm.

We got 1/2 inch of snow, then the temps rose to almost 40 and it turned to rain. Later, the temp dropped again with a bit more snow and everything froze. Total 1/2 inch. Friends of ours just 6 miles inland got 8 inches. Life on the seacoast!

Well it is fact she and milk have had a long running feud. The feud includes most milk products. No ice cream for her.
