Friday was DRY ...So we saddled up the Burb and headed off to get more shells.

Got to the plant about 10:30 am and within a few minutes we were loaded up and truckin
By the time we got home, spotted the trailer in the barn and brought all the gear down from the house and were actually doing some unloading it was 11:30

By 12:30 we were both hungry so decided a sandwich was in order.

I needed to get some of the new barrels (Now dry) that have been stacked up in a vacant horse stall in the stable and carry them to the small barn where we unload.

Sandwich consumed and all ready to push on and finish the job by 1 pm

The newest add on gizmo to the operation was a pipe with a horse shoe on the end that anchors to the dumpster and cradles the suction hose and keeps it on a smooth incline from the dumpster to the barrel adapter.

This gizmo was a hastily though up idea after we finally got tired of wrangling the hose and fighting clogs that would happen if the hose had a steep sag.

So far it works sweet.... I need to add a sliding device in the center of the pipe that allows a second horse shoe to mount and fully support the hose.

A very good day and 8-1/2 barrels (The main crew was in a meeting and had only set out 1-1/2 4x4x4 totes...so the yard guy only had that much for us..:(

I would have liked to have a chucked full load....ah well..

Weather is looking good for Monday, so we will likely do another pull then...

    Some pix

We had a big wind event a few days ago and it must have been a sawdust storm in the building as there is sawdust all over all the barrels now and the floor was clean too...had to sweep up a bit.

Just got back yesterday from a quick 3 day trip to drive one of the vehicles down to NC for storage. Heard bad things about sn*w up here and cold......so relieved to see nothing when I stepped off the plane yesterday. :dex:

Good ending Ambient $25 a kitten is reasonable and glad you found a solution, that is great news. Thinking that is where this little bugger came from is the dairy farm up the road as I mentioned earlier. Great people in a really bad situation had their I think it was the grain silo but could have been grass silage which was masonry collapsed and took out 1/2 of their barn with it. They only lost one cow but rescued almost a dozen of the others. I helped them out for a while as they lost their number one guy and I was burnt out from construction and needed a break so I worked there for a while.
Would have done it yesterday but to dang cold out as I don't have a shop to put it up on jacks to remove the front tires to give me some room.
A very kind member offered me the use of his shop just don't have time to do it as I am trying to get my chit together to go back to work and take care of as much I can around the house. I know I am gonna wish I did while driving in to work tomorrow morning ! my night vision is horrible and if it is raining forget about it, all compounded by the craptastic halogen bulbs that came standard with the truck .

:bug: That Kenworth Tractor needs four gallons? My tractor only needs a quart once in a while, I get it from a place near here. Helps keep the chance of freezing down in the winter. Nice looking in any case, beautiful amber color.

Got both stoves cleaned this morning - everything but exhaust (they were clean).

After my shower I dried my hair in front of the P43 and I've got only 2 words - Holy Matras! Had to stand w-a-y back.

Laundry going and ready to eat some lunch. Then off to get groceries.

    Muffler Bearing
    $33.95
Do you have an annoying rattling in your mufflers? Are they sagging a little? Don't quite sound right? That could be the symptoms of a worn muffler bearing. Allow me to introduce the KaleCoAuto muffler bearing! It's unique iron-graphite composite with pre-grease-packed assembly provides over 200,000 miles of smooth muffler operation! It is most likely they will outlast your mufflers. Also works well on heavy duty exhaust systems. One per muffler.

I don't know - don't think so. I'm used to burning fairly short pellets so have the feed rate on 3 (when I was burning the Oakie Plats I had feed rate at 4). Didn't burn much at all today as it was sunny - no clouds around. The real test will be how much burns tonight - that will give me a much better idea.

I used to test air temp compared to actual feed rate in lbs per hour at a fixed setting. It was consistent that the hotter the air temp the faster the pellet was feeding. And all pellets that fed at the same rate were virtually the same temperature.
I have concluded that all pellets are equal in the heat department. Or more accurately, so close it is not worth considering. A low ash pellet is what I look for, and by default will increase the heat output of the stove over time by staying cleaner longer.

That sir, was a concise and detailed scientific analysis - I imagine you were wearing a lab coat, while gathering this data. :sherlock:

For study completeness - Please provide the corresponding Beer analysis of products consumed, during testing. :coldone:

You never burned Therma Glow did you? Those burned barely luke warm regardless of how fast they fed.

Not saying that on average your data is bad, just saying for those particular pellets.

Lol, no I havent. But there must have been about 15 brands or so.

I wouldnt be surprised if a real crap pellet came along that would be an outlier.
