Yeah me too. I did a quick cleaning of the P61a, but it hasn't had the full clean for at least o month, so I should do it while it is warmish out. P43 I might as well give the same treatment. I haven't done anything with it since the end of last month. I can usually go 2-3 weeks, so it works out.

    YES

    The picture is goofy.

I spoke with the folks at MONSTER MILL this morning and they have a "MM-2 PRO with a 1/2 inch shaft that will open up to .160" and the fella said it should do what we need fine.

I am going to see how the cheap unit does and then if its OK I will step up to the MM2PRO

Its bigger and has bigger rollers that are 5oC Rockwell and the figure 250000 tons to wear the rollers out

We run about 6000 lbs a year (Will outlive me by decades)

We just need to pop the large pieces into stuff slightly smaller than your little finger nail.
Here are pics of yesterdays shell run.

Even with the large material the vacuum unit just devours the stuff and fills the barrel quickly.

The large stuff will feed, but the stuff drops in such large chunks that the fire is up and down A LOT.

The POP AND SNAP SOUNDS as these go through the auger are a bit unnerving :eek:o_O

We got a herd of Deer living on the Mtn. that would be very happy to take care of your shell problem there Snowy. :D

You could always try spreading out a layer of shells out sandwiched between 2 4x8 sheets of plywood, and running a vehicle over it, in a pinch. ;)

    YEAH BUDDY

Gonna take a buttload of runemovers to gitterdone though...

The little grain mill will be here in a few days...so we will see how it works.

I figured that the $76 for the cheap grinder would give us some good data to work with.

Harbor freight had a good deal on a HD 1/2 inch pistol grip (removable) drill so I picked one up.

It has two front handle stud holes plus the rear handle hole that will be great attachment points to anchor the drill on the platter to drive the mill.

The RPM should be good too.

The drill was $44 after the coupon
Gear drive low speed motors are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I really am anxious to see the mill and get going on the mounting hardware.

The guy at Monster mill offered to run some shells through his mill and send me pictures of the finished product.

I may well send him some of the big stuff and a smaller amount of the stuff we have that really works well to compare and then see what it looks like.

How did I spend my Friday? I finally got off my butt and installed a new dino tank. I think I told you that the old one was 30 years old and in failing health. I was afraid it would spring a leak so I used all the oil up over the course of the last two years. Because of the pellet stove, I don't use much oil. Like the last delivery was over 3 years ago and that was 100 gallons. I was able to burn all but 2 or 3 gallons by jacking one side of the old tank up. Getting 100 gallons tomorrow for the new tank and we'll fire up the furnace to make sure it runs and I'll be good for a few more years!

So,yesterday early, had to go over the ridge and plow snow for the rich people, mostly just drifts, because of 60mph winds. They(both houses/families) are coming in this weekend, for the holidays. So,I have made a little bit of cash. Now I have ordered a combustion blower and igniter for sister and BIL,for their old Prescott,Pellethead was the only place that took the time to look in the old manuals, because the early versions of this stove were strange.SO,I ordered the parts from them, drop shipped to sisters.Other than that, the cat and I have been worthless.

I am always useless these days getting down isn't a problem, but getting up is a different kettle of fish.

Maybe you think that, but I bet the cat feels it’s been some of their best work.

    Hi Bob :)

I think that is an old pop up, I don't think there is a new calendar this year (someone correct me if I'm wrong please). Also, I was logged off often on FireFox, even with the "stay logged in" box checked, Chrome or other is recommended, I have not had that problem since.

Yeah, the roads are good after I get thru the first 13 miles - which I've been driving for about 30 years, so that is no big deal.
