We should, I'll buy the first round. :handshake:

Your brother reminds me of my older cousin Jason - I was frequently getting my azz into trouble growing up, whenever we got together due to his antics .. he's a real prankster. He would always think crazy chit up, and use me as the human "test subject". And fall guy.

The (Italian made) Francesca stove here reminds me of a girlfriend growing up in NJ years ago. She was moody, Italian, and super-model high maintenance also. :D * Come to think of it, so is my wife: minus the Italian part.

Amen to that B. If we can't find humor in the situation / laugh at ourselves on occasion, then what's the point? (shrugs) There's usually a grin, w/ the all the facepalming I do here.

I gotta say, with the ladies back home post-college for the time being, and Betsy being her (usual) misbehaved self, there's rarely a dull moment around here these days. :picard: It's certainly entertaining, that's for sure.:D

  The Wells River folks must love that one.

You should do this LodgedTree ! Why not, if Katie is on-board with it. It sounds like it interests you, and you certainly have the knowledge & experience to do the work.

It is sad that it takes something like this to wake folks up, unfortunately though that just seems to be the way "it is" these days. The portion of Route 9 that runs through Stoddard is one of the more dangerous stretches of road in the county - dozens lost in the 25 years we have been here. Like ivanhoe said, it's usually the "other guy" you have to look out for, on the road.

This is just one of dozens of accidents in town over the past week or so ..

Winter has hit here early this year.

That's our pellet furnace. It goes into the same ducts that the Propane furnace/Central air goes into.

This is the 9th season we have fully heated our home in the winter (0% of Propane). The first couple years were with a freestanding Quadrafire Classic Bay 1200 upstairs. But the bedroom doors had to be open if you wanted to stay warm.
    (Pic of the Quadrafire 1200)

Then we added the Fahrenheit Endurance pellet furnace downstairs and the Englander 30 NC. Since then, every room is the same temp. :D

This pic is of the first year we had the pellet furnace and woodstove. Since then, the basement has gone through a little make over. Walls were taken out and everything was painted.

We have since replaced the Quadrafire upstairs with a Enerzone Eurostar. But the last few years we have maybe used it a dozen times. 1394069797920.jpg

You have done some great work there getting your house and systems working the way that fits your needs.

I keep thinking about trying to run the FHW thru the P61a in tandem with the boiler. But that would make a total mess of water pipes everywhere in an already small, short-ceilinged basement. If I should ever lose my mind, or win Powerball, and build a house, I would definitely do something like that.

I saw on the news today that November is the coldest November on record in my area. No wonder I've burned almost a ton already. I hope this doesn't continue for the rest of the winter.

Another weekend, another forecast for rain. :singingintherain: Which means more white chit here later. :shiver: ... Then rain.:picard:

Got the necessary jacks, stands, and cribbing together to get the good tire on the '96 Camry this am, checking (and probably shoveling) the roofs, and moving more white chit around the yard today. And work later. Time to get busy.

Have a good day all.
