Thanks for that Dr.Faustus - much appreciate the feedback. Natalie took the car into town to pick Emily up yesterday afternoon, and commented exactly that. ...

And that the TPMS light was on. .. Sigh. :picard:

    * After I explained these snow tires/rims didn't have sensors installed / that we could certainly purchase and have them installed $$$, if she wished /and that we would check tire pressure each week "the old fashioned way", she was cool w/ that.

That's got to be one of the best deals on the planet for this class of generator Steve - nice purchase!

FWIW, the Craftsman genny here also has electric start - I just made up a set of 10ga. adapter cables, and use the small Cub Cadet 12v tractor battery for the electric start, when needed. Just one less battery to worry about keeping charged up, w/ occasional use.

Here in Ontario, we are told to pitch the Romaine lettuce in the trashcan 'cause of E-coli and such

Both my stoves are making gluttons of themselves too.

For lunch I had riced cauliflower and sweet potatoes mixed with butter and cream with cinnamon, ginger, ground cloves and honey for seasoning. Pretty close to pumpkin pie tasting. Then I had beef merlot for dinner. May have some oatmeal with cream, pecans and maple syrup later for desert. :chef:

Thanks to those who thought to invite me for dinner - it was a much appreciated thought! But I was to cozy with cats snuggling and pellet stove going, watching football to venture out in the cold. A much needed day of just lazing and lounging (except when I fed the stoves).

5* this AM, high of 12*. Supposed to go down to 7* tomorrow. The furnace is running keeping the basement at 50. I don't like that.

yeah 9* now suppose to hit 3* by the am not liking it either Sub both stoves running like bandits and so far managing to keep the oil burner from kicking on which happens at 60*
Tomorrow suppose to be much warmer than today and man I hope the fricking wind stops as that is what puts a hurting on this old farmhouse, seems to be finally calming down. Only going to get better from here on for the next foreseeable few weeks but crap its cold tonight at least for this old farmhouse here in the hills of Luneyburg.
    Stay warm

I've got 13 here on the seacoast. Not very often do I have to run the stove higher than heat setting 3. It's on 4 with 220 degree air blowin' out. 68 in the living room and 60 down the other end of the house. The thermostat for the oil heat is set at 60 so it's possible it has run. I'll top the stove off before I turn in and let it do it's thing. This is exactly why I have the stove!

3* this morning but it is supposed to get to twice the high temp as it was yesterday (meaning mid-high 20's). That will still be about 20* colder than the average - but I'll take it.
