Prewash????? Never saw that on any washer I've had. My newest Whirlpool has a lot of wash options, but not that. It DOES have a pre-soak.

And yes, even a good sized load looks small at the bottom due to no big agitator in the way.

This week has not been cold, but it hasn't been warm either - in the mid to low 60's. It has been mostly overcast with intermittent rain. Got home yesterday and it was 66 in the house so turned the pellets stove back on. Humidity is not going away yet - it is 69 in the house and 68 outside but it feels much warmer outside than inside because of the humidity.

Last night the cr*p maples in back of the house started dumping their leaves in the breeze that sprang up. I dislike those trees because they change from green to brown in 1 day and just dump. Hoping the 3 maples I planted last year at least give me a couple days of color.

I think tonight will be the first night for the fire pit. In the 50’s. Dehumidifier has been working overtime in the basement.

Between the boss and I we got the grapes picked this afternoon. A bit more than 4 lbs, we left some for Monday.

We had a nice but cool day here. Didn't get out yesterday, but today I went to Sams Club. Days are growing shorter and shorter. The outside light just came on @ 6:32 PM. Temps dropping fast. Now 54F. Stove is going, sat on room temp (stat). While I was out in the yard, I could hear chain saws running. Noise travels though the woods here. Groups of Canadian Geese seen in some fields. Molly goes out for about 5 min. then comes to the window to let me see her and know that I must let her in.

Son and I worked around the house/garage today. The big garage was in bad shape, he had engine parts all over, wife had exercise equipment and empty boxes all over. I had manuals and tools out. We had old barbecues, wheels, patio umbrellas, pellet stove that was unrepairable, etc. Put up a few shelves, went to the recycling center, junkyard , and got some awesome breakfast sandwiches at the meatstore/gunshop. ( smoked meats)
Went to HD tonite to get a new shelving unit and saw tons of Stove Chow for $249 or $219 for 6 tons or more. I see some Chows in my future.
Tomorrow is going to be more work around the house early until it warms a bit than a ride on the bike.

    Doggy

Saw the Chows at the Newburgh HD. They had about 70-80 tons.

Thanks, it looked so different than the old school top loaders where clothes swooshed around in the water. It's nice to have the old familiar bleach dispenser back instead of the tiny compartment higher than my eye level in the front loader where the dispenser drawer was LITERALLY at my eye height (It was on the optional pedestal to help with my knees  ) .

First couple loads with powder detergent left some undissolved crystals but we were so low on clean laundry I dried them anyway. WWW brought home liquid detergent for me Friday. I guess its habit, I've used pre-wash (clothes go through a short cycle to remove the heavy soil, that water is drained, then new water added again for the normal wash cycle). I'll figure out it out.

So far this top loader is easier for me to load and unload than the front loader, using a step stool for the laundry basket even though my back is still healing from last week (of all things a doctor appt !?! ). I have not had to wait to add the last few wet items to the dryer til I picked kiddo up from the bus to ask her to duck into the front loader to retrieve the clean laundry in the back of the drum.

True trivia, this top loader is over 200lbs lighter than my front loaders and uses a smaller footprint both floor space and height.

Glad that washer is working out well for you WW! If you use the heavy soil function (I assume it has one - maybe named differently, or you choose the soil level in area), then it probably does a prewash for you then runs the wash cycle.

42* outside this moring and wicked foggy. Pellet stove ran at least once last night. I gotta finish hooking up the basement stove today. Was going to do it yesterday, but it was really windy and I got into doing some work on the basement walls.

    Pellet stove outlet sheet rock.jpg

While installing the strapping for that big piece of sheetrock my hammer drill just died in the middle of drilling. Looked them up on the internet and I could get a decent DeWalt from HD for $99 or local Aubuchon's for $119. Was debating whether my drive time and gas were worth spending the extra $20 when I remembered Aubuchon's had recently advertised $10 off for your first on-line to pick up order (over $30). I already have their points card so went to the website and ordered it up. Found they also had a $5 coupon for spending over $50 - so I got a total of $15 off. An hour later I picked up the drill. Still saved me an hour for that extra $5, so it was worth it.

Had to go to HF last night to pick up more of the metal strapping and by the time I got back it was 7:30 so I decided not to do any more.

Open windows and box fan last night. Low 50’s in the house. Definitely no stove burning.

Yesterday was a 14 hour day. That sucked.
