We have DTV Satellite for the TV and Verizon Cellular for the internet.

Using the same dish that I installed back in 1993...on the 3rd or 4th set of boxes (one upstairs one down)

The cellular router for the net from VRZN is great.

Out here its Cell, Sat or DIALUP.:picard:
NO CABLE, FIOS OR ???? other choices

    STOVE season is BACK
Yesterday morning was the first fire since June.

Dug out a barrel of shells and brought a couple 5 gallon pails upstairs last night.
Was 63 F in the shack this morning and that was definitely not gonna cut it....

Little whit churning away now making things warm.

We had a very long warm summer indeed.
Last year was hot, but we had a fire at least once every month through the summer.
We shut the stove off in early June.

    STOVE SEASON

I started the dino juicer the other night, temp during the day didn't raise the temp inside so it got cold during the night(2*C and frost) . Still plugging away on my addition every day, will post pic tomorrow. I rearranged the insulation in the walls and prepped some wiring. Putting up the osb sheating and will reinstall the soffits soon.

It's done - I did it Wednesday night by myself. Will post pics over the weekend of my ingenuity (AKA justifying every scrap of lumber and plastic that I have saved).

Did think about texting you (and thank you for the offer!) but figured I'd try it myself first.

Got a call late yesterday afternoon from the local Chevy dealer regarding a 2002 Chevy Avalanche 2500 4x4
We had been looking at Avy's the past few weeks.
Our Benz lease is finally all signed by us and the new leasee, and in the hands of Benz now.

Just need a few more days before the transfer is final.

Headed to town last evening to check out the Avy
Bad boy has the 496 Rat motor in it.... and it scoots.

    Drives very nice indeed.
    Great shape in and out.
Low miles at just under 100K (99984)

Very much wanting this deal to come together sooner than late.

The guy that's getting the Benz is just bouncing off the walls with excitement...

Me...????? just stressed out that's all...

Hey Snowy, sounds like a nice truck! NICE looking truck.

At those miles, I'd see what they would do for the "100k" service as part of the deal, e.g.: coolant flush/change, spark plug change, ATF & Differential service, grease point service, brake fluid refresh / brake inspection service.

    Good luck w/ the purchase!

The service work has been done regularly.
I am trying hard to get the thing as it came in...dirt, guts feathers and all..
I can detail it myself and go over the nick nack stuff and save a bunch of $$$$

Just hope this deal comes together...

We have first shot at it though.

I knew it was coming in last week, and the P O dropped it off last night at 5:30 and we were all over it by 6:30

There gaz guzzlers, that's for sure.

So here are the few pics of the stove move I did. first I set up scraps of plywood, durarock, and lumber pieces to get that portion of the floor to the same level as the stove pad. That included filling in the 4" drop from the concrete blocks to the concrete floor, then to the 1"+/- rise to the floor level, then up to the pad. I raised the stove off the blocks onto small scraps of plywood and placed the pellet bags on top of the "ramp" for easier sliding. The hardest part was "walking" the stove over to the ramp.

Here is the lumber scrap puzzle under the upper layer of plywood. Under those scraps is a layer of plywood and a layer of durarock
    Under the plywood.jpg

I had to adjust the length of the pipe as there was a 60" piece and a 12" piece, along with two 90*. My small hands could not get the 60" and 12" pieces to turn to unlock them. I thinking that I might just have to buy new vent pipe. But at lunch today I thought that using an oil filter wrench might work. I found this wrench at Lowe*s and it worked like a charm

I set up the pipe - just need that 6" piece (which is very elusive, but I will prevail) and I can finish tying into the piece at the thimble.

One of my best ideas ever was before I started tiling the pad. I turned the pad over and glued large felt pads on the base so it would slide around. Works like a charm and I can slide the whole thing to place it perfectly. Sure, still takes a but of grunting, but I can do it by myself and not tear up the linoleum. I slid it all over the place to see if a corner install or a parallel-to-the-wall install would work best. before I attempted to unlock the exhaust pieces.
