My home weather station says it is 99 F and 49% humidity. Alexa says the outside humidity is 53% and the temp @ 90F. Odd, we usually have humidity way high when the temp is up like that. Now have the portable AC on. I have the two hose system and still had to drain the system to get it to run.
I did something similar, but I have rolled insulation. We put manufactured stone over the sheetrock. Got it at Lowes. Looks good and does the job. Glad you are able to use your same exhaust system. It adds up really fast. I am not sure of the life of the exhaust. Mine is now 10 yrs old. I'm keeping an eye on it all. No rust and no deterioration seen yet.

Nice Nice couple of cool days here as well down into the 50's at night with all the shade the house stays nice and cool on the first floor. Upstairs a different story and just fired up the bedroom AC and starting to chill, forcing myself to CHILL !

Pain index dropped a point maybe today which is great dawgone news !!!!(think I was about ready to snap) see if it holds through tomorrow and I will be besides myself yes yes yes Mfking YES . Of course the natural tendency is to do more which is exactly the reason I am forcing myself to chill major big time. Sitting propped up in bed with the headphones on cranking some Spotify and surfing the web with the AC cranking. Yup an ICY beverage sitting next to me ...

See all the BBS are stocked to the gill with pellets and all I can do is look bah. Think I am going to have them delivered to the house in one shot then eventually get them down in the basement with help from friends or neighborhood kids looking for money. Might actually go with the Energex 100% Softwood as they burned pretty darn good for me last year and the price is ok for the product.

One floor up and basement floor insulated. I'll be ready when the cement gets poured. Outside walls insulated and the hole filled up with dirt. I got to take the old siding off to continue.

got back to work today to rest up from the weekend!

Zagray Farm Museum weekend. had the camper there from the week before.

Let's see.... Saturday I burned nearly a gallon of chain saw gas helping to cut a seemingly endless parade of trees being brought to a shady section of the sand pit. probably 8 on that detail. dog tired Sat night, beer, shower, motrin, and wine in that order. the trees were cut from around a farm pond we are removing 4 feet of organic material and the fire dept will install a dry hydrant.

Sunday. finishing up the tree detail (getting hot out!) and then went to check out the progress on our building project.

the guys are pushing up the topsoil, which was up to 2 feet in spots!

ended the day with beer, shower, and wine with Kathryn. AC is on in the camper!

Monday I set pins to guide us trenching for footings on the 200 X 88 building. main building 200 X 60 clear span truss, 14' shed roofs on both sides. One of our guys regularly engaged in the construction business set up his laser and set grade, top of wall, etc. for me.

while this is going on, a Bucyrus Erie 22B clamshell was starting on the pond. A lot of activity!

So that's why I got to rest up!

    :yes:Been a decent holiday weekend.

We went car shopping Saturday and Sunday.
We decided to OFF the 2017 Mercedes C300 .
The Benz is a sweeeet ride, but living out in the sticks on nasty rough roads is just not the place for a car like the C300.

We have the Benz on a lease and I found a realtor that just fell in love with the it, so we are doing a transfer.
Decided to check out the Chevy Avalanche and after looking at a few we found a cream puff of a 2006 for a very decent price..

New tires and wheels and neat as a pin.
The Avy is so clean underneath that it is obvious that it's not been off road.

I asked the guy why the big diggers ???? "Cause they look cool"
I guess it's a street creds things

The Avy can replace the 95 Suburban and do what we need just fine.

The Avy is such a sweet ride.

The Benz was a trip to Fantasy Island for sure, and a treat, but now it's time to get back to the real world...
    Can't beat a 4x4 truck...

sold the 500 plus yards in the topsoil pile, and the 2000+ yards expected from the pond. I'll have to buy perhaps 200 yards of 3/4 to dust stone from him to grade the building for concrete. I told him he'd have to treat me good, for the great price and material I was sending his way. It should work out for both of us.
Now I'm short about 200 yards of backfill material. going to reopen our rear pit - unused for 10 years and get it! Send the Koehring or our 80 ton Northwest front shovel out there to load it. crazy busy with both of these projects hitting at the same moment!

My honey has a 2008 Avalanche. That thing is a tank and a great ride as well. She would love to find another in great shape as hers is getting long in the tooth.

360 bags of HeartLand pellets here so far for this winter, the difference between them and Rocky Mountain Pellets is IMMEDIATELY noticable. More heat, and the flyash stuff inside the burn box is a different color and consistency (granted our airwash vents on the glass are clogged, but even the glass is staying much clearer. Hoping the dealer gets the other truck delivery of the HL, RMP seem to be dirty and don't put out as much heat and I'd rather not have to use them again.

I went up to camp last Thursday with the entire family for the long weekend, got home yesterday afternoon after a long hot ride. I was finally relaxing last night around 8:30 when the wife came flying in from the garage screaming "you need to do something about this." I went out in the garage to see what she was talking about and there were maggots everywhere. All moving toward the garage. It was a scene out of a horror movie. I spent the next 2 1/2 hours with a garden hose and boiling water fighting them off. I finally gave up around 10:00 and told my wife she was on her own, but by then I had gotten rid of them. It seems like a bag of trash I had in the barrel when I left was infested with them. I took care of the stragglers this morning.

First time laying blocks, it's a job! No, was it suppose to be? There's a foam gasket in between.

Bloody hot day here. At one point the weather app on my phone said it was 98, and "felt like 124". :shiver: All I know is that I didn't spend more than a few minutes outside. Will be happy when the hot weather retreats on Thursday. Not looking forward to winter, but am tired of the heat. 30 days of 90 or hotter here this summer. Too much for me.

Seemed like a good day to clean out the Revolution though. Had been neglecting that task since springtime, so figured today was a great day. It was about 70 in the basement with the AC on, and got the old girl cleaned up and ready to go. Just bought a pole barn kit from Menards, and have a nice fat rebate card coming my way. Guess my pellets are coming from Menards this year. Was considering burning corn, but the extra effort required to bring home and store the corn didn't sound like fun. I don't shop at menards often due to the closest store being 25 miles away, so I'll use up the rebate card on pellets. :handshake:
