Not sure about fashion...but these little gizmos work sweet.

Nothing more annoying than grabbing a reel from the reel box (Large plastic ammo box...usually carry several reels) and having a mess of line that has managed to come off a spool and get tangled in things.

When I replace the line on my reels I always make sure that I am spooling it on to match how it came off the factory spool...and then immerse the reel spool in very very warm water for a bit to "set" the line.

STILL... having the scrunchy on each reel is just an insurance policy...

Anyone use shark bite fittings in their water pipes?

I am looking to replace a saddle valve for the fridge with shark bite or compression. Cant find the 3/4 x 3/4 x 1/4 compression with a shut off valve easily around here. But I can get a shark bite very easily that has a quarter turn shut off valve.

Same here with wind power, no way to win.
One of the best vacuums I ever owned was based on a woman's 1 star review that complained it sucked up her curtains if she vacuumed too close to them.

Yes and they work great. Used them on a hot water heater a few years ago too.

My house was redone with them, copper pipes removed. Too many failures in the copper pipes which were installed in 1975. House redone two years ago.

Beautiful day, but I can hardly stand up straight. Low back pain for the past three days. Much worse first thing in the morning. Not being able to go to the pool and my fat gut is too much.

Overcast down this way Larry, thunder bumpers in the afternoon forecast to be followed by light rain showers. Well I tried to get the ccb down to 2.5mg but this morning convinced me that the 5.0 mg was better. So back to 5.0 it is I will just have to drag a cane along with me. It was nice to be free of the dizzies for two days I wish there was a 4.0 mg pill as that would do it quite well for me.

Sun still out here. If we get rain, we need it, but I don't wish to ruin someone's weekend. One day is much like another to me.
I just take the pills and deal with the side effects. When dizzy, I don't drive. Wife will take me if I really want to go. I have adjusted to using the cane. Now I use it as a tool to get things! the place I don't like it is in restaurants. Doesn't matter what I do with it, the cane always finds a way to fall to the floor. Then I have to do some fancy footwork to flip it up. the most important thing is not to fall. I just hate falling over. Fell forward last week when changing cat boxes. Landed on the trash can and bent it all to h@ll. I weave around a lot. usually able to correct myself before I go over. Need to avoid stairs whenever possible.
How did the wife do with the shingles?

Cut a 5 in half, and then the half in half

Wife is fine the anti-virus meds nipped the shingles before things got bad most of the bumps never reached full size and didn't break open and scab over. No pain and very little itching. I just hate the cane in general, should not have the dizzys from meds. I'll see what the neuro folks say about things, you do understand I trust these doctors as far as I can heave them.

I thought of that but the end result 3.75 mg isn't quite enough as far as I can figure. The script I am running is a 5.0 mg twice a day no way could my body take that. I refused to make the jump to 10.0 mg/day the first time at 5.0 damm near sprawled me out, convinced the doc to go to the ER form of Metop as the non ER was sort of doing the trick just not lasting long enough. I had this urge to take the second dose before it was due. 3-4 hour half lives are no good.
