Its definitely a lot easier to find something when you have something. You hold the bargaining power in that situation. I wouldnt wait for the place to go under or hope thst it doesnt. And with the internet its as easy as pie to search for things and submit resumes. It also doesnt hurt to keep your interview skills sharp.

I doubt I will ever hear of another person work as hard as you. You deserve to reap the rewards of your hard work and time for yourself is a big part of that.

The reason real companies have a use it or lose it policy is because they are trying to force you you take the time off. Its proven employees are more productive.

Unemployment is at a very low level. Companies can't find workers. If there was ever a time to look for a change, this is it.

Sound very familiar to what we went through in 2009. We let many people go just to get by leaving only a few of us to do all the jobs vacated. Business rebounded over time and we are doing very well now but the owners get use to paying less people. We rebounded the business and increased employees but not the employee count to the same levels as before.

    Happy belated Mothers Day !!

Spent a great day yesterday hanging out, going to a girls soccer game (thankfully it was in Kittery and not Brunswick like last week) mid day and then some burgers and chicken on the grill with my honeys 4 kids.

Got to meet her oldest's daughter' new service dog. A year old German Shepard for the vision impaired. Great dog, when she has the vest on she is all business, as soon as the vest comes off she is a year old pup.

Am at home and checking the forum as my optimism was not rewarded and I left work as I being the "tough guy" could not deal with the pain anymore. I worked Saturday as I had come up in the rotation and the other person to work was an Assistant Superintendent(great Kid but still very Green) and I also had to be sure that a number of items were taken care of to progress the job.
I was very hopeful as I had felt some minor relief on the 7th and 8th day of receiving the cortisone shot but come Friday it started to escalate and has only gotten worse since then.

So I will not be at work tomorrow and possibly Wednesday unless some miracle happens (yes still an optimist) but Thursday I go back to see the Orthopedic Surgeon. In relation to what Bogie has been talking about I have 2-3 days left of PTO that will burn and be lost and from then I don't know what will happen. I am very much like Bogie in a sense that if something has to be done I do it on weekends or days off, while I don't like it as I would much rather spend time with my family and should actually spend time with my family.

I have given my life literally for the last 7 years to this company so it will be interesting to see what happens once my PTO is gone. I work a minimum of 11 hours a day but usually 12 hours and throw in the travel time I am away from home for 16 hours a day completely dedicated to work . On Salary so naturally I get paid 40 hours a week regardless of how many hours I work, and at the end of the jobs I can put in 80 hours a week without a sweat for the last 4-6 months. With that said I have received bonuses (company policy is no bonuses) on the last 2 jobs and yes they were substantial but do not come close to matching the hours I put in.

Bogie in the years past it has been hard work and dedication were rewarded but as of late unfortunately its not the same in the workplace, I hope yours is rewarded and wish you the best of luck and hope you receive what you deserve ! Sincerely

Anyways will continue to check in with the great people here as this really is a bunch of great down to earth bunch of people that is rare to find in society today.
Thanks to everyone here for their Advice and just listening to each others concerns, comments and experience. Pelletheads Rock !

    Thanks All

    Edit:
Just got off the phone with the orthopedic office and tomorrow I call to schedule an MRI !!!
Thank God ! took 4 weeks to get to this but It is going to happen and finally I will get a full diagnoses and then the Dr. will recommend treatment to correct whats wrong . I really need to get this behind me both physically and mentally as the undone task at home continue to pile up .
    Bourbon time !
Thanks once again and Willy turn one up for me tonight brother as i know you need a reason to have a smoothie :D

About ready to do the same Sam as I have not built myself a rig in a while, with that said I will first be building Mom's, Mother in Law Moms, Dads, then possibly HTPC and then finally a semi gaming / working rig. It has been a while and look forward to it as long as I can get it done before I get treated (surgery?) for my shoulder.
Love ASRock mobo's as my current rig has a ASRock mobo in it. what kind of games do you fancy? as i do not really have much time to game anymore but it would be fun to jump into a game with ya.

Some are disappointed on their weather forecast shortfalls but the bright side is you have above freezing #'s:MM:
Over here, heating during the night and the daytime putting up with the northern winds with layers on the body to stay comfortable on some days
Half a hopper of pellets left and I call it a season:salute:
